The Windy Hill has a location which will suit some and not others. It's about a thirty minute walk from town, along a road with no pavement/sidewalk. We made the walk a couple of times, but in 40C heat and with the black smog that seems to flow out of Belizean vehicles, it isn't that pleasant. If you have a...

Upon arriving at Windy Hills, we found our cottage was the farthest one up the hill which took a little walking since we did not have a rental car. The room could definitely use some updating for the cost you are paying for. The pool was very large and had enough chairs to lay out on. The bar was very...

We stayed in one cabin with three children. The cabins were clean and the beds were comfortable. We stayed four nights while we toured the area. The restaurant was good. We ate there each morning and two evening meals. We ordered our early breakfasts the night before so that we would be ready for our tour pickups. The staff was...

To get the bad out of the way. The pool on the hill is an awful shade of dull green....it should be blue and sparkling if it is clean ( we know we had a bigger pool than that for 25 years. Seriously wouldn't consider going into it. ) Our room was nice, but in our group some had rooms...

I stayed in November, which seems to be the low season still. Certainly, there were few staff at the hotel which meant that service could be slow; the chap who was served the evening meal, breakfast, etc., also had to attend to the bar if someone wanted a drink. Everyone was friendly and helpful though. Food was good too. I...

we spent two nights, great location as we did want to be right in San Ignacio.lovely views and grounds. The cottage was immaculate and the beds were comfortable. Decor was very plain but didn't really care. We love our patio with hammock. Staff very friendly. The negatives: great lounge building that you have to go to to get wifi with...

Our daughter, my husband and I stayed at Windy Hill for four nights. I loved the pool and the grounds and the cabins were just what we were looking for. Staff was nice but I felt they weren't trained in customer service and had a hard time answering questions and giving advice. The staff were all very pleasant but I...

Located about 5 minute drive from downtown San Ignacio its a nice clean quiet resort. Our stay was just what we were looking for. Though breakfast at resort was slow we had to leave for a tour so canceled our order. Per order breakfast the day before if time is short which we did the next day. Remember its a...

We stayed at Windy Hill for 3 nights to start our trip in Belize. It's a great central location for exploring many natural and historic sites in Belize. The resort is very close to many different Mayan ruins which we were able to drive to ourselves including Xunantunich and Cahal Pech as well as the ATM cave. The rooms are...

Enjoyed my stay here due to the rural feel and beautiful setting. Rooms spacious and are either individual cottages or duplex units. There is an infinity pool (used it late afternoon each day), well-equipped fitness center, bar and restaurant, all in separate buildings. I loved the openness of the bar and restaurant buildings. Staff was very helpful, although I requested...
