This was a wonderful place to stay. The staff and the food was excellent. The presentation of our food was awesome. The trip to Tikal was first rate from the drivers to the tour guide. Mr. Pete was our driver and he was very caring, attentive and shared his knowledge of Belize and Ecuador. If you take this tour ask...

Thoroughly enjoyed staying here. I agree with other reviewers that it was nice to be able to walk into town and explore or have a meal. All of the staff were extremely nice and a pleasure. You can tell that the owner really wants to make an effort to attract business. I met some consultants who were hired to better...

The hotel staff welcomed us with cool towels and a tasty fruit drink. The whole staff was very helpful and friendly. The food was excellent and the dining terrace has a fabulous view of the nearby jungle canopy. We watched green iguanas and Collared Aricaris from our breakfast table. Don't miss a tour of the hotel's green iguana project. You...

We had a great 3 day stay, service was excellent, restaurant had great food on the deck, the bar did a great job for the super bowl, tours really well arranged by Reuben with excellent tour guides. Our room was spotlessly clean at all times and our outdoor terrace with a hammock was a great place to chill out after...

Thank you for your review and recommendation. The hammock on the balcony seems to be a favorite place to relax and spot birds. So glad we exceeded your expectations and you enjoyed your Belize vacation.

We spent a whole week at the San Ignacio Resort Hotel (which even the staff there seemed surprised about). At our request, they tailored their Mayan Expedition package to our needs. The tours to Tikal, Caracol, the ATM cave (me only), Cahal Pech and Xunantunich were all great. Our guides (Joshua, Orlando and Cruz) were all excellent and knowledgeable. Our...

My husband and I truly enjoyed the recent stay at the San Ignacio Resort Hotel. The staff are extremely professional, friendly and accommodating and the property beautiful and well-maintained. We plan to come again and again. One important recommendation - handicap bars in the shower.

We stayed at the San Ignacio Resort Hotel for a few days while traveling around Belize and Guatemala. The service was excellent, Reuben was friendly and accommodating. Our room was comfortable, clean, and modern. We loved the little treats left in our room each evening. We took advantage of the spa services, relaxed by the pool, and visited the Iguana...

A very nice hotel with lovely staff. All were very friendly. Nothing bad to say about the place. The pool was very nice and was a great place to spot local wildlife including large iguanas and tucans.

We spent four night at this beautiful little hotel. The honeymoon suite was delightful, bright and airy, spacious, and very comfortable. The air conditioning worked extremely well (it was about 10-15 degrees warmer than average when we were there and very humid as well). We saw the national bird of Belize, the keel-billed toucan, each day from our balcony. The...

I researched many resorts and hotels in the San Ignacio area, looking for lodging that would allow easy access to Tikal and the other local Mayan ruins. We didn't intend to rent a car,so the lodges out of the city weren't an option. There didn't appear to be any mid-range hotels available, mostly budget hotels and the San Ignacio Resort...
