We were just in Corozal for one night, so didn't get much of a feel for the town. We had a deluxe room, which was comfortable and clean. The whole hotel could use a little updating, but is budget friendly and in a nice location right on the water. As the other reviews mention, the owner is a man of... More

We stayed 5 nights at the Sea Breeze Hotel in Corazol, and enjoyed our stay. We learned early on that the proprietor, Gwyn, could have a somewhat negative attitude and did not tolerate fools well. We learned to keep our discussions brief. Es un hombre de pocas palabras. On a positive note, he has a wealth of information regarding Corazol,... More

Our room was ready when we arrived. The owner however seemed flipant and fairly rude. I paid for the room in American $$ and when I received my change from the owner in Belizean and US I was condescendingly made aware of how to count the money. For this harsh lesson, however, I say thank you as I never screwed... More

ToraBelize, Owner at The Sea Breeze Hotel, responded to this review

I remember the conversation in the lobby and I have taken some time to review the CCTV coverage. The exchange rate for the Belizean dollar against the U.S. dollar is two to one. These guests were trying to pay me too much money for their room. It took a little while to explain to them where the error lay. The... More

Nice room if you get the deluxe but could really use some maintenance in bathroom. Don't expect the hotel owner to be pleasant though. Rather cranky. Very close is Y Knot bakery, make sure to stop in for treats.

Everyone at the Sea Breeze Hotel was kind and helpful, helping us navigate our way around a new city. Beverly was so kind and accommodating, and the owner David was available to offer help and answer questions as needed. We stayed one night, enjoyed breakfast on the balcony, and took advantage of an economical bike rental to get to the... More

The room and bathroom were cleaned and there was ample space in the room. The owner was very knowledgeable and funny. The $5 breakfast was good. However, we didn't like Corozal... very run down, not that many people in the street and not much to do. If you have the choice, spend the night in Chetumal. The marina area -... More

Sea Breeze was the indulgence of our trip and worth it. Ideally located near the split, restaurants and away from the ever present speakers (Belizeans love a loud background sound track which is fun … but it was great to have a quieter sleeping location!) Only courtyard rooms were available which were comfortable but I would recommend spending the money... More

The owner is from wales and he is abit dry in his humor. Maybe I'm different but I enjoyed some of his obnoxious remarks. Gwyn was a great host and he would have breakfast cooked for us. I enjoyed poking fun of him and him poking fun back. If we were going back to corozal town again we would stay... More

Staying two nights in Corozal Town, we stayed at the Sea Breeze on the bay. Lovely views from the balcony! We enjoyed a great breakfast at a nominal fee. There was a fenced area where we left our rental car and had no worries. Our air conditioned room was clean and comfortable. Over all, we really enjoyed our stay and... More

If your looking to stay at the Ritz you've come to the wrong town. However the hotel was safe, cleanish, had a good breakfast and was very good value for money. There was also a bar, breakfast options and a pier to swim from. The hotel owner was extremely helpful and nice despite a perhaps interpreted as grumpy demeanor (assumed... More
