This is the perfect place to explore Southern Belize on your own. I spent a week out in San Ignacio doing tours to Tikal and the ATM Cave, and had spent a few days on Caye Calker. travelling through Belize ,we spent 2 nites at the Hummingbird inn , the room was spacious very clean with ensuite bathroom and a seperate balcony with a great view of the Maya mountains, the inn is secluded and the area is very peacefull, the multitude of birds rise around 6 am and provide quite the serenades, continental breakfast is provided...

The title says it all - the rooms open out to a wrap around upper balcony/porch so you wake up to a field of birds and rolling green hills as far as you can see in every direction.
