Sunset Pointe was a blessing on our trip to Belize. We were there 8days. The condo offered free Wi-Fi, cable, pool, hot tub, 3 different docks with seating and hammock. Birds eyes on top of the roof. The caretaker, Fransico, and his family was nothing...More
We visited Sunset Pointe in Placencia in mid-February 2017. To quote our 6yr old daughter, "this is the best vacation I've ever had and I want to move here when I grow up!" We stayed in unit #2 at Sunset Pointe and the accommodations couldn't...More
We rented one of their 2 bedroom 2 bath apartments on the second floor for a week for our son and his family. It exceeded expectations. The view from the front porch was so lovely across the canal and lagoon and it was very spacious,...More
We stayed in the only 1 bedroom on the very end of the point. No other buildings between us and the mangroves. Huge back patios. Great kitchen facilities. Plenty of bedding, pillows, towels...Internet is not as 'high speed' as we are used to in US....More

Sunset Pointe is a privately owned complex of 13 units. We all manage rental of our own units. It is at the tip of the Placencia peninsula. It is surrounded by water...the lagoon on one side and the Caribbean Sea on the other side. Just steps from the water. There is a lot of mangrove (good protection from erosion) and some sea grass. There is not a "swimming or snorkeling beach" per say. There are lounge chairs at the shared pool. And each of us owners have lounge chairs on our balconies. Just a short walk to the village is a white sandy beach for swimming. For snorkeling you need to go out to the Cayes (islands) where there is coral and beautiful fish. There are some nearby cayes or you can take a trip out to the barrier reef.
If you are interested in rental of our unit and looking at our photos see our VRBO web site. Our property number is 217310.
