We, spent 6 nights at Hatchet Caye, myself, husband and 3 kids (ages 15,12, and 10). I cannot say enough about this special resort. At first I was a little concern about being over an hour from the main land, on a small island, but everything was great, the reef around the island was great snorkeling, exploring, many people were...

WOW! This private island is located about 17 miles off the coast of Placenica. The boat ride was a bit choppy and took at least an hour to get there. Once we arrived, it was pure perfection. The resort manager, Dosha, greeted us, gave us a bit of history and showed us around. She was so sweet and helpful throughout...

This was my second time visiting. I took two pre teens and a toddler. They mostly swam in the pool vs the sea. The weather made the sea a little rough. They enjoyed themselves. Grounds are kept beautiful and the restaurant staff were great. The chef made something simple off the menu for my picky eater. The fish tacos were...

For a getaway in the Cayes of Belize, consider Hatchet Caye. The friendly staff are eager to serve and help you. So many activities are available - SUP, kayaks, sailing, snorkelling, diving. Food is delicious with lots of variety. Rooms are high end, clean, comfortable. There is even air conditioning if you need (not likely as the ocean breezes do...

This was my fifth time to visit Hatchet Caye. Obviously I must like it a lot to return on a regular basis. It is a perfect vacation for me away from the chaos of life. But the part that I like the most is that the people who run the island actually listen to what their customers say. Each time...

My husband & I spent 8 nights at Hatchet Caye in mid-January. I’ll admit to wondering if we’d like the island for that long since it is small, and the resort is the only thing on it. We loved it! We stayed in one of the beach cabanas which was very comfortable with areas to be inside, on the deck...

Thanks so much for your review and of course for allowing us to play your amazing playlists while here! We all fell in love with your music collection! Regarding round trip boat transfer fees, the price of fuel in Belize is very high and with the constant run of the vessels the wear is equally prohibitive. We try to be...

We spent five nights at Hatchet Caye in a main house room. Our deck was huge, bed was great and shower had lots of hot water and pressure. What more could you need. Staff here is truly the best. You feel like you have made new friends. They honestly go above and beyond. The restaurant was a huge surprise. I...

I'm not sure where to start here. We came here for our 1st anniversary. The trip started with an interesting but fun boat ride in the rain and wind with Captain William. He did a great job in tough weather to get us there safely. The island can be romantic and cozy when you are there with other resident guests....

Thanks so much for your review! Your input is a great value to our destination. There are some days when we have yachtsmen stopping by for a few hours or an overnight. On these occasions we try our best to usher these visitors to the areas that are open for day trippers but some do escape and explore the island...
