It's like being in a giant tree house. A jungle experience right in town. Family owned and operated. The BEST breakfast in town! Very clean and excellent value. Cold showers are invigorating. Communal room is perfect for large groups or getting to know your fellow travelers and local passers-by

Good value. Beds are comfy, rooms are clean, bathrooms are also clean. Breakfast is an option. This place tends to gather interesting individuals, starting with the owner, who is a very interesting person to meet and his wife, always smiling and charming. Nice option and pretty cheap at the same time

The cost was very reasonable and the room very clean. They will cook you breakfast for 4 us dollars. Chet the owner is from California and is married to a Belizian woman who also lives at the hostel. I had a room with a shared bathroom but only one other person was there so it was not crowded. The bathrooms...

One of the places you have to see to Belize. I am a very simple person I don't need much to thrive. Beautiful safe and quiet with tonz of lizards and Crabs. If you get lucky, the real gem here is a Chat with Chet! Safe travels to you all! Happiness is the trail.

I really enjoyed my stay here. Owner was a lovely lady. Beds were clean as well as shared bathrooms and also very quiet. Price was very reasonable if not under priced. Nothing flash but had a great night sleep

Unfriendly and uninformative. I stayed one night. Punta gorda was a weird coastal town try to skip if you can. The staff was alright but not very nice. The upside was it was low season so I got a room to myself

Laid back and very Caribbean. Great place to stay if you're not wanting to spend too much money; a room for four will cost a mere 60BLZ$ a night. Wifi works well and the downstairs area has comfortable sofas, some tables and is nice and cool. No unnecessary luxuries. Bathroom kept cleanish with funcional showers, sink with soap and drinkable...

The host didn't seem bothered if we were there or not. Led us to a room without even saying 'Hi'. We dumped our stuff in the room and quickly headed out for dinner. On return the lights were off, the main area was locked so we had to go to our room. The place was very run down and cobbled...

The only reasonable thing about this place is the price, probably the cheapest in town. The host is really unfriendly and dry. We can't really say she welcomed us and she seemed more interested in the tv series she was watching than in giving us information about PT or the ferries leaving to Guatemala. The room is ok but everything...

To start with I acknowledge this place is 38bd a night which is pretty cheap by Belize standards. However this place really is pretty rubbish. Using the limits of my imagination I can envisage some time ago, possibly in the 80's, that this hostal was a buzzing meca of travellers and provided quality and cheap accommodation. Fast forward to the...
