This is a great place to vacation ESPECIALLY if (a) you have your own transportation, (b) you don't mind arranging for daily taxis to/from the lodge, or (c) you don't plan to go anywhere else. The lodge is about 7-8 miles from PG. The good of that is that you don't get city noise interfering with the jungle sounds (including...

My wife and I stayed here in April 2014. This was the first time we stayed in Punta Gorda. We stayed at the lodge two nights. We are spoiled so we booked a lodge room. We can't sleep without AC. The lodge room #1 was great. A king size bed, a double bed, and 2 bunk beds. One bed to...

Tranquility lodge is one of Belize's best kept secrets. Hidden away in the jungle, it really lives up to its name. One of my favourite parts of this lodge were the jungle noises, from howler monkeys, crickets, frogs, and all kinds of birds. The swimming hole is absolutely stunning and wonderful to cool off in. The owners are so friendly...

We just got back from this lodge and it was great! The owners are great! Don't expect North American standards as far as the bathroom and things go but this place is a 5 star for the beauty/service/location! Loved it! The swimming hole is magazine worthy. Up in the lodge they have a pool table and shuffle board which the...

We stayed in a lodge room for two nights. It was clean and comfortable. Being in the rain forest was fun, and the birds on the property were amazing. We were hungry when we arrived, and host Lee with niece, Danielle quickly served us a delicious dinner. Made us feel at home. We played pool and shuffleboard. (NOTE: You must...

We loved everty minut of it. The surrounding is beautyful, and yes, tranquil. The people are very helpful, and Suzanne is a very good cook. When we were there, her husband Lee was in the hospital. But Suzanne did a marvelous job, with the help of neighbour Larry. We had two tours with tourguide Juan, and that was both ejucational...

My husband and I stayed @ Tranquility Lodge for 2 nights and we just loved it. We chose the cabanas for a "true" jungle experience. Our hosts were just the nicest persons we've met and had very good advices (tours, restaurants and bars). I especially recommend to visit the "swim hole" where howler monkeys come at night ! Best natural...

Me and my boyfriend stayed at Tranquility Lodge for the last 2 nights of our 2 week Belizean trip. In hindsight, I wish we had planned for more time here- it was the best part of our holiday by far. We stayed in one of the casitas, so can only speak for that room, but it was truly spectacular. The...

Moving away from the beaches to the jungle and rain forest in southern Toledo District Belize I found Tranquility Lodge. Owned by a Canadian couple, this is a quaint small lodge with Lodge rooms with Air Conditioning and TVs. Or choose a real experience in a Casita. BE AWARE that there is NO A/C or TVs in a Casita, just...

Well our adventure to Punta Gorda ended at Tranquility Lodge and we will most definitely be back again and again. We have never been so amazed at the beauty and "Tranquility" of any other vacation spot as we were at this one. If you are looking for beauty, nature, quiet (other than the sounds of birds and "other" things like...
