One of the most beautiful hotels in the world, best location near the lake with the volcanos around, beautiful gardens , Great Lake views from the room and nothing better than at the end of the day sitting with a margarita in the jacuzzi looking on the lake. BUT the rooms are not clean enough, the staff sometimes rude ,...

We stayed at Hotel Atitlan in early September. We went back and forth about staying in Pana or another village, and staying more in the main town of Pana. I'm so happy with the decision we made. Within a few minutes of being at Hotel Atitlan I felt so relaxed, the views were absolutely gorgeous, and we were only a...

This hotel is really the garden of Eden in disguise. The rooms are each unique and beautifully decorated. The landscape is a garden lovers delight. Take time to stroll the garden, see the birds, and take in the beauty. Then, there's the view of the lake and volcano...oh my, what an absolute treat!

This hotel was the start of our Guatemalan trip. It is everything other reviews say and more. The rooms all face the lake. The food is absolutely awesome and service amazing. The pool is wonderful to relax and exercise. Wifi throughout the entire property. Distance to town is actually very little and irrelevant with all the tuktuks and the walk...

The hotel is fantastic! So to share, so let's start with the gardens; 1) Gardens - Every time you finish exploring one garden, you find out that there are still more! Absolutely breathtaking scenery filled with exotic plants, trees, and plenty of macaws and parrots, including five resident Papagayos (Red Scarlet Parrots) that say hello in English and Spanish. Plenty...

Beautiful location without question but amenities lacking for the hefty nightly rate. The food in restaurant is very tasteless & worst blunder of all is the famous coffee from this country served is weak & watery which really annoys. Although the place abounds in antique furniture...the room mattresses are saggy & linens old & worn. The supposed cable tv's have...

A very nice hotel on the lake with wonderful views from the swimming pool deck. The garden itself is an amazing experience, relaxing and refreshing. The food is awesome, especially breakfast...we put on at least two kilos. The wifi connexion is good and the little souvenirs shops very nice.

I've just returned to the Hotel Atitlan and It did not disappoint. The ambience is of time gone by--you sit in the cozy bar before dinner playing chess by the crackling fire, sipping a scotch, while the rain patters outside. This being off season, the service was gracious but a bit slower than when the hotel is firing on all...

My family spent Christmas and New Years of 2014 at Hotel Atitlan, basking in the beauty that is Lake Atitlan. Every morning we would sit down for a lovely buffet breakfast overlooking the pool, the lake, and stunning views of the volcanoes. Each day we would plan an outing with the help of the hotel: boat rides to surrounding towns,...
