Panajachel is a cool city on the shores of Lake Atitlan. Hotel Dos Mundos is a great choice while stayin in Pana......in fact, I didn't really see a nicer option. They have a good Italian Restaurant that serves only Italian food, but it was delicious. Nice rooms, decent pool, quiet atmosphere.

Hotel dos Mundos is in the middle of Panajachel, but it could also be anywhere in the world. I needed respite during a long immersion home stay and found Dos Mundos comfortable and peaceful. I mainly chose it because of the swimming pool oasis. The restaurant on site is pretty good, but expensive, with a very attentive staff and a... More

We were booked at Dos Mundos as part of a tour package to Lake Atitlan. Rainbow Travel Agency in Antiqua was very efficient. The hotel had clean rooms (we were in room 11), great water pressure, attentive staff and a central location. The only compliant I have is that the rooms didn't have AC/fan and the sheets felt musty.

The Hotel Dos Mundos is centrally located where the action is in Panajachel. It is clean, decently furnished, and quiet, and the rooms have TVs. Our room was spacious, and the beds were comfortable. The pool is terrific. It has a wading area for small children, and the setting is lovely. The restaurant is fine. We had only breakfast there,... More

The location is great. Right on the main street (Calle Santander), but the rooms are set back from the road so you never hear the street noise. Just a couple blocks from the lake. Nice garden area and pool. My 3 little boys loved it (though mom and dad thought the water was a bit cold!). Nice restaurant.

We stayed here two nights and really enjoyed ourselves. At night the sounds of frogs lull you to sleep and you wake up in the morning to birds chirping. Each room has at least 2 beds (1 queen and 1 single). There is a pool (not heated) but clean and great for all ages. It is very close to everything... More

I first stayed at this hotel back in 1999 and I loved it. the way it is in the middle of all the Pana action and yet off the main drag in a secluded garden. I have over the years stayed at other places in Pana and also in the lake villages but this place is all time favorite. for... More

The front staff was ok, the friendliest one is a girl there. She was helpful, and the gardener, he was great. The rooms were clean, its not a 5 star so just expect that. Near all the nightlife and the restaurants (be aware its pretty dead during the weekdays and in low season). No AC but the staff will give... More

I dont think Ive ever experienced such bored and uninspired reception in all my travels. It started with the phone call when I called to book the room, and they managed to consistantly treat us rudely throughout the checkin and checkout process, and everything inbetween. We stayed about four nights and then moved to another more friendly establishment. The hotel... More
