Francisco the guy at the desk couldn't have been more helpful. The hotel is brilliantly situated near the lake. Floor 4 has lovely views of the volcanos. There is quite a bit of noise each night from the restaurant next door and the walls of the hotel are very thin so I could hear everything the people next to me...

cReal hot water, clean and friendly. Every other hotel I stayed at from Xela to the capital had one or more major issue that made the experience terrible. This trip we stayed in about 6 spots, and explored many more. None of the terrible "coffee can" water heaters at this place. It's a nice property and the staff is great,...

Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were tired and dated. Great for a budget hotel but price didn't reflect the amenities provided. Slow breakfast so make sure you let staff know if you have a shuttle to catch.

After 3 days of paradise at this fantastic hotel- we didn't want to leave. The Owner Julio was amazing in every respect- from prompt emails, to arranging transfers, and even having a dozen roses waiting for my wife in the room for her birthday. The staff were just amazing- arranging last minute tours, and transfers to Antigua. The breakfast was...

This cozy hotel is at the lake-end of busy, touristy Calle Santander, making it a short walk to the amazing lake. The room was clean, bed comfortable, water hot enough, and the complimentary breakfast (several menu choices) was excellent. The fried plantains were the best I've had in Central America - thinly sliced, caramelized, with a drizzle of maple syrup....

Excellent place, owners and employees make you feel home, the rooms are beautiful and comfortable, this is the hotel you need to book when you visit Panajachel-Guatemala, the personnel go the extra mile for you, they will book you a tour in a boat to the small towns around the lake once you are in the small towns a tuc-tuc...

Nice hotel placed in the busiest market street in Panajachel, yet with rooms reasonably apart from the noise. Nice stuff, good breakfast, free parking. But at least one of the rooms has a smelly toilet because of sewage problems. And I happened to be in that room. This was the last empty room, but I got no discount whatsoever. The...

Just got home from Guatemala and wanted to send a huge kudos to Posada de los Volcanes. Booking was really simple and they went above and beyond with helping me coordinate transfers for 9 people to and from Antigua and to the beach after our stay- their vans are brand new and drivers are very safe at a great price....
