My 4th snorkelling trip with Al and the Upachya team. It takes a special operator to keep me coming back to the same place over the course of a few years. This just such a place. AL knows where all the creatures hang out. On this last trip, we saw moray eel, sea turtles, octopus, stingray, multiple barracuda, lobsters, the...

We were picked up right outside the terminal of our cruise ship and driven to Upachaya on the north side of the island. Here we went kayaking and snorkeling. The water was beautiful, the fish along the reef were amazing. Our guides did a wonderful job showing us where the fish were and an large area of star fish. Afterwards...

We only got to stay for 24 hours but we had a wonderful, relaxing visit. Barb is a gracious hostess and took great care of us. There were no yoga sessions but we utilized the space for our own mini class. The pool is tranquil, well-maintained and quiet. We did some stand up paddle boarding and really enjoyed the experience....

Our family of four was looking for a relaxing and peaceful place to reconnect with each other. We found exactly that in Upachaya! The grounds are beautiful and feels like your own corner of the world. We stayed in the family suite, which was perfect for us. It was clean and comfortable and the air conditioning worked well. The kitchenette...

My husband and I just happened to find this little slice of heaven and it was such a wonderful experience. The beauty of your surroundings is incredible, the rooms are clean and air-conditioned and the food is delicious. The owner, Barb, is one of the most genuine, spiritual and special people I have ever met and went over and above...

This was a long time coming....and you must realize that the fact this place comes into my mind over a year over must mean something. This lodge is a perfect gettaway - yet embraces what Roatan has to offer. Clean, personal, and everything you can ask for from a yoga type of resort. You won't be disappointed in the food,...

My second visit to a beautiful reef Al, master diver, is still as charming as ever. Barb, proprietor, is putting on a new roof so we dined in the pool. They got us back in time, so don't let the cruise ship scare you by saying, outside tours could be late.

Upachaya was an unexpected treasure! While on our carnival cruise we booked a kayaking/snorkeling tour with Upachaya and our lives will never be the same. The beauty at this B&B is breathtaking. The staff was beyond accommodating an the whole experience was educating and breathtaking. I wish I could go back today! :) Food was delicious too.

This was an all-around amazing experience. The driver was a local and very friendly, she and her husband both drive for Barbara (owner) and had great information about the Island. It was nice driving to the location where you could see how the locals live, and to get away from all of the the other cruise line tourists. The Upachaya...

Very easy to meet our driver outside of cruise ship gate. Really nice guy. The village was friendly and the people were warm. Cab ride was about 20 minutes, which was interesting to see the countryside. Upachaya is an interesting place and I appreciate the owner's interest in providing guided snorkeling and paddleboards away from the tourist crowd and in...
