The grounds at Upachaya are just so beautiful! The owner walks you around and explains each tree/ plant and their health benefits as well as information about the mangroves. The kayaking was not too strenuous and long (just a bit on the way back due to the wind). The snorkel spot was wonderful.. Right. The middle of the ocean with...

Thank you for joining us here at Upachaya. Yes, Mother Nature likes to share her wind with us now and again and it makes it a bit more challenging with the kayaks. But, all in all I'm glad to hear you had a good time. Thank you for your review.

A beautiful natural beauty surrounds you. The kayaking, snorkeling could not be better. Barb the owner/operator is one of the best in making sure customers have all that is needed. The cook provides the best island fare.

This experience is outstanding. We enjoyed the kayaking through the mangroves and the snorkelling. After about 2 hours, we had a delicious lunch and enjoyed our visit with the owner, Barbara. All the staff went out of their way to make sure we had fun. it was our 25th Wedding Anniversary and everyone made the experience special. We would recommend...

A little off the beaten path, yet close enough to the bustling areas to get your busy-body fix in. Upachaya was exactly the type of stay we were looking for. Victor met us at the airport and the resort was just a thirty minute drive away. Nestled in the trees with the evening breeze of the ocean, this place is...

Thank you for your review. I enjoyed the enthusiasm and lively energy of the three of you and would welcome you back anytime. As stated, we are nestled away from the touristy areas, and when spending a lengthy visit, it is sometimes best to rent a car while here rather than paying the taxi fees. However, then again many people...

We stayed at the West End and did a day trip to the resort. The owner, Barb, was incredible, giving us a tour of the property and facts about the plants and wildlife. We went kayaking through the mangroves (only place on the whole island to kayak the mangroves) and then out to a reef to snorkel, seeing big sting...

Thank you for your review and I'm glad to hear you had a great time, including with Nola the driver for your return trip. Nola grew up on the property which is now Upachaya. This had been part of her Dad's farm in years past and she does have great stories about the island. Thanks again, and come back to...

We booked a boat snorkel trip with Barb before we left the States not only because the reviews were positive and the number of people on the trip was small but she got back to us right away and seemed genuinely interested in doing business with us. It was a great pick. The ocean was a little rough that day...

Thank you for your review and I like the part when you say "next trip to Roatan"! This island has so much to offer it is hard to get all the fun in on one trip. Thanks again for coming and sharing Upachaya with us. Keep us in mind for your future visit!

This was a great excursion. We were picked up on time at the cruise port and driven to Upachaya where Barb met us and told us all about her beautiful property and the vegetation. The kayaking and snorkelling was wonderful and then we enjoyed a healthy and delicious lunch. Great margaritas, too! Highly recommend this excursion.

Even though my family and I did not stay at the bed & breakfast offered here (we were a part of a cruise trip), we did embark on an amazing kayaking and snorkeling adventure through this amazing getaway. A man picked us up from the Carnival port and drove us to the lodge. Barbara, the owner, welcomed us into this...

Thank you for your review. I do have great staff, and if it is one thing we stress it is to insure all guests have a comfortable experience without fear. That isn't always possible, but we take safety very seriously here. All my staff are CPR and Water Rescue Certified through our Fire Department here. They have also gone through...

Marco picked us up in front of cruise terminal and drove us to the lovely lodge. The owner, Barbara, met us and gave us a little tour and explained some of the native flora and fauna. Sorry for the delay in my response, but thank you for your review. You are quite descriptive and I appreciate the detail in which you shared your experience. Yes, that drop off is quite something, and I love all the marine life we find in our little piece of the reef. Thanks again for the review and enjoy that game!

My 4th snorkelling trip with Al and the Upachya team. It takes a special operator to keep me coming back to the same place over the course of a few years. This just such a place. AL knows where all the creatures hang out. On this last trip, we saw moray eel, sea turtles, octopus, stingray, multiple barracuda, lobsters, the...

Thanks so much for your review and your continued desire to visit Upachaya and experience our tours. We continue to work hard with the Roatan Marine Park to insure this area of the reef is preserved in as pristine condition as possible. This is what keeps the variety of marine life in our vicinity.
