Our family of four which includes a 15 year old daughter and 9 year old son stayed at PBP April 7-15, 2007. The flight was uneventful from Milwaukee, through Houston and directly to Roatan. Just after we got our luggage at the airport, Don Mariano from PBP was waiting to drive us to PBP. A very nice gentleman who speaks...

The resort is beautifully maintained with lush tropical vegitation and beautiful white sand beaches. Gary and Cecilia are very accommodating and do their best to make you feel right at home. The staff at the restaurant and dive/snorkel centre were efficient and very friendly. I would highly recommend a stay at Palmetto!

Roatan is all about the sea - one of the most beautiful I've seen and I've spent a lot of time at various beaches around the world. This was my first scuba adventure and I don't think it would have possible to have had better water to learn in than I did. Warm and clear with visibilty to 100ft! The...

I can't say enough about this wonderful place! My wife and two college age daughters stayed for a week at this beatiful and secluded resort. WE were met promptly at the airport by a driver with a prominent Palmetto sign and although he didn't speak much english (nor did we speak any spanish) he whisked all of our luggage including...

My wife and I recently spent a week at Palmetto Bay Plantation for our honeymoon and for what it's worth, it was one of the best weeks of my life. We arrived on a Sunday and one of the staff members picked us up at the airport which was nice since between the two of us my wife and I...

Selected Palmetto based on a variety of factors. Always use tripadvisor.com to do research for new destinations. My wife and I selected Palmetto due to affordability, restaurant reviews, accomodation features, and the advertised dive accessibility. The wife selected Roatan as this destination so I had to select the accomodations. Palmetto almost lived up to the expectations. We did come to...

We decided back in August to take a New Years cruise of the Western Caribbean and to get married on the island of Roatan in early January. We did some research on the Internet and made contact with a couple of companies on the island. Quickly, it was apparent after we e-mailed with Cecilia of Palmetto Bay Plantation that this...

Our family of five stayed at Palmetto Bay this last December for seven nights. I have to say, we had the best time, and we thought the place was great! We had booked early and specified a bungalow on the beach (there are only a couple of them). We stayed in Hibiscus A1. It had a huge porch, with great...

We stayed at a private rental house on the grounds of Palmetto Bay for two weeks. The house itself was really nice, as were our wonderful neighbors. Palmetto Bay, however, is another matter. The access is only for the adventurous. We had a 4-wheel drive Suzuki so we didn't have problems, but I would not go there without a 4-WD....
