We stayed two nights in iguana azul. It is quite a small quiet hostel which meant it was easy to get talking to our fellow guests. It is clean, provides towels, has hot water and has loads of information on the local area. The owner, Howard, was fantastic - we had to change our travel plans at the last minute...

A friend of mine recommended the hostel iguana azul and was a really good advice. I opted for a bed in a 6-dorm with fan which was perfectly clean and tidy. So were the bathrooms and toilets. I liked the fact that they had several restrooms so you don't have to wait so long for the others to be ready...

I stayed here for two nights and could have easily stayed a week. The rooms are extremely well kept, there is wifi Internet connection, and the staff are extremely friendly. There are ample resources of tourist attractions and things to see in Copan. This makes for a great home-base for the many activities in the Copan surrounding area.

This place is wonderful. The Management are so patient and present with customer needs! The workers seem to be happy and the feeling of the place lends to a really comfortable stay. The vision of quality is superb. The beauty of the place is in the details. Room service even makes the beds in the dormitories! Thank you Howard and...

I stayed here a month ago. It is a wonderful, clean and friendly hostel. The best one I stayed in during my whole trip. Try their breakfast as well - it was perfect. Great coffee and the best baked bread in town!

The hostel ist just great. Its clean, quiet, has awesome dorm, a inside common area, good Internet, is close enough to the city center, safe and best of all affordable! In addition to all those awesome things: please, if you are ever in Copan, check out the Restaurant (La Casa de Cafe) next door! That restaurant that is managed by...

Iguana Azul is a great go to for groups of travelers or backpackers. It's a couple of blocks from downtown, which provides for a quiet night's sleep after an action packed day. We had a group and were able to have a private room just for our group. Even when the power went out city wide, causing the water supply...

Great hostel. Only stayed one night as we were passing through on our way to the Bay Islands but really liked the hostel. The dorm rooms were very clean and comfortable. The hostel had lots of useful information about the area and where to eat etc. Showers and toilets were also clean and unlike other hostels, the showers had a...

We stayed just for one night, but what a perfect night. The hostel is 5 minutes walking from the center, that makes the place really calm. There was not a single sound all night long, the room was completely dark thanks to the blinds, and the bed was really comfortable, so we had a 10 hours night, first time in...

There are a lot of hotels in Copan Ruinas, but as it's a beautiful town that caters to tourists, many of them are more expensive than what a backpacker would typically go for. So if you're traveling cheap, go to Iguana Azul. It has comfortable dorms, lots of bathrooms, a friendly and knowledgeable young manager, and is in a decent...
