We were told by people that know, go here and no excuses! If you don't go here you will really miss out on a great experience. One of the best experiences while in Copan. The setting is an old Hacienda that sits atop a hill over looking Copan and the ruins. Sunset is absolutely amazing! We went for drinks, relaxing...

This is a truly peaceful and lovely spot. Hammocks to read in, so picturesque, nice breeze -- absolutely unique and tranquil and pretty. Close to the ruins, up on a hill. Nice breakfast. Super staff. Just very special. Has a yoga pavilion -- I would love to teach there. Recommend it highly.

The hacienda is old but well renovated with the rooms in two separate buildings. It is built on a hillside overlooking the valley and the famous Mayan ruins. After a hot morning exploring the ruins, it is a delight to return to the cooler lawns of the hacienda and enjoy a cold drink. The staff is wonderful - Paola, Jennifer...

Visiting this exceptional piece of paradise is becoming an annual tradition and I am so grateful! We arrived to a warm welcome by the staff, the playful romping of the two dogs a colorful parade of birds in the trees, and one of Patti's delicious margaritas......and things just continued to get better and better. The Hacienda and its environs are...

My girlfriend and I were vacationing in 4 Central American locations (Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador and Nicaragua). Of all hotels and sights, this was our favorite place to stay and visit. It was a destination in itself! We were made to feel like family from the moment we arrived. The 7 room Hacienda was total relaxation on a mountain top...

Before I comment on the lovely hacienda, I am compelled to attempt to dispel the myth about the safety of an experience in Honduras. We landed in San Pedro Sula and were driven to Pico Bonito and then five days later driven from Pico Bonito to Hacienda San Lucas (by the wonderful Miguel Ramundo who was arranged by the Hacienda...

Extremely relaxing romantic private secret hideaway overlooks the valley, the restaurant is fantastic, and scenery spectacular. I will go back every year to sit on the hill and watch the sunset with a jamaica (local hibiscus tea) drink in my hand. Hiking nearby in the jungle, shopping Copan, and exploring the ruins (suggest getting a guide, they are enormous) were...

We travelled extensively thru Honduras and in my opinion this was without a shadow of a doubt the best place to stay in the whole country and one of the standouts of the holiday. Hacienda San Lucas is a hostelry (small hotel) nestled in the quiet hills of San Lucas, Copan. Privately owned, the hacienda has been in the same...
