We were approached at the bus terminal by a couple of the family members who were very enthusiastic but not pushy and decided to accept the ride to their hotel. The hotel arranged a horseback tour for us with a local guide named Margarito, do the tour and ask for him, you won't be disappointed. The hotel is clean, well...

I arrived at this hotel without reservation and chose the place simply because my previous host in San Salvador recommended it. The Mar Jenny is nothing special- nor is it bad. In other words, it’s perfect for a one-night stay. I was given a choice of a room with air-con and one without - I went for the latter which...

Stayed here for one night whilst visiting the copan ruines. Would recommend it for a basic night to lay your head. Good location, has a pool however I didn't get hot water at all, which I had succumbed to in the 3 months I spent in Honduras so no biggy. Nice owners and would potentially stay again if I am...

I recently stayed here and had a good stay. Nice helpful owners, good location and a great price! The only bad part was that there was a lot of power outages, that lasted along time during my stay, but that included the whole city.

I Do recommend this place if you are looking for a place just for sleep and hike the whole day, price is good for a low budget trip, the location is four blocks away from the main park, owner very friendly and if you ask for A/C also avalible.

This hotel is run by a such a kind and generous family. I was recently traveling through Honduras and did not have enough money left to pay the fee at customs when trying to return to the US. Though I was a complete stranger to them they gave me the $40 I needed along with their business card, which has...

We stayed here for 4 nights and whilst we have no issue with the hotel itself, we do have an issue with Mar Jenny Tours who are advertised on big banners in the reception. We booked a three hour horse riding tour (as advertised on the afore-mentioned banners and confirmed by the owner) which turned out to be only 2...

We arrived in Copan without accomodations, and our first couple of choices were booked. There was a fellow with a sign at the shuttle van drop point, and he advised rooms were $US15 (300 L). We checked out the facility, and it was decent. The first room was not clean, but the second one was, so we elected to stay....

Our shuttle driver recommended this for its price and location. For the area - an international destination - it seemed fair enough. The village that serves the Copan ruins is so tiny and tidy you could stay anywhere and be close to the World Heritage site. It is built like an M.C. Escher palace.. With stairs going every which way...

“Rooms on the second floor, facing the street are probably quieter and newer, I think. Rooms near the pool will be a bit noisier. Bring a flashlight, the power in the entire city goes out often, the hotel has generators for general lighting.”
