The Jungle River Lodge is rustic and wonderful if you are looking for a vacation with exciting activities which are fun for the whole family. Zip-lining and rafting were fantastic and our guide was very knowledgable and patient. He was a font of knowledge regarding plants and wildlife. Breakfast and dinner was provided and they were very tasty. I would...

Because we really wanted to do some Rafting on our trip, we decided to do that on the Rio Cangrejal. Rafting was 40 usd including pickup from the port in La Ceiba and a nights stay at the jungle river Lodge. The breakfast is little and really pricey for 6 usd, but the dinner for 8 usd was really nice....

This lodge is about a 15 minute drive from town which is exactly what I wanted after feeling unsafe staying in a dingy hostel in the center. I was welcomed by the family there and made to feel like a part of them. The rooms were spacious and clean, and food was always freshly prepared. No question or request was...

The views at this place are absolutely amazing, you are literally in the middle of the jungle with an awesome view of the river. The dorm room is good, bathroom is clean and sufficient. The bar area is nice. Food is basic, but hey you're in the middle of nowhere so I'm not going to complain. Good place to stay

the way to the jungle river lodge is a very rocky and unconfortable road, but when you arrive you will experience totally overwhelming surroundings and deep connection to the nature. people are nice and the facility has everything you need.

Start with the positives. A cab driver was at the airport to pick us up on time, and the fare was the quoted amount. The driver was excellent. The views were incredible. It was my second time to Pic Bonito and still stunning. I would not call this place relaxing though. Upon arrival we had to search for someone to...

I stayed with my boyfriend for one night there. We really enjoyed the wonderful view and the rustical atmosphere. Our bedroom was very clean and the establishment gave a romantic touch. A negative point of sure is the limited possibility of food, the prepared dinner was not enough for us, but there was nothing left to . The staff was...

I was planning on staying here one night and doing the rafting tour. I got picked up from the ferry port as promised and the driver was very nice. The rafting tour was so-so. It's dry season now but that's not an excuse to to canyoning for 60% of the time (which I wasn't prepared for on flipflops) instead of...

Let me start with the positive thing: the view is wonderful and the area is fantastic. However, you will get this too if you stay somewhere else. My advice is: do not stay at Jungle river lodge. This place is run by Ronald and his father (though the latter wasn't there when we were there). We made an appointment that...

Took a chance on a flyer we saw and we were overwhelming glad we chose to do it. The ride up really lets the "off the grid" scenario set in. As soon as we pulled up the hotel was situated in a marvelous spot over looking the river. Hammocks, a bar, hiking trails, zipline, rafting and swimming. We were staying...

“The private rooms with the riverside windows are very comfy; beautiful combination of wooden beams and stucco with embedded stone.”
PlainLo, 5 Aug 2014 | Read review
“Ask for a private room with a hot shower. Apparently they have cold shower options. If you are a hiker, get a dorm room, they are cheap. Try to get a room that faces the river. Try to get a room that is far from the bar. I heard music and voices from it at 1am.”
