Casa Xochicalco is the perfect quiet place to stay if in the El Hatillo or Tegucigalpa area. The home is beautiful, the rooms are clean, quiet and very comfortable. The breakfasts were incredible. The service was excellent. I will definitely stay here again, and I live close by.

We went there with 6 of my friends from 15th to 19th of November. Although we were on Tegucigalpa for study reasons we were still able to fully enjoy this hotel. We were greeted by the hotel owner and she was extremely polite and helpful with us. She offered us transport to get us downtown at a better price. The...

On a hill outside of Tegus, the Casa Xochicalco is an old family home in an upscale neighborhood that has been converted into a hotel by its owner, the wonderful Esperanza (a philosophy professor at a local university). The setting is quiet, secluded, includes a large pool and garden. The rooms are well decorated and well furnished, quite "boutiquey". Esperanza...

A lovely setting on the outsides of Tegucigalpa, in a cool setting. The rooms are pleasant, spacious, homey and extremely clean. This is window to the real Tegucigalpa. Although a bit isolated, you are very close to the magnificent La Cumbre Restaurant, well worth visiting. Perhaps the only drawback is that you almost need a car to come and go,...

Here is a woman opening up her home: the beautiful stone house where she grew up and raised her family. The wonderful hostess and her personal attention to detail, the lush surrounding gardens and the cool climate, the quietude of the mountain with proximity to the city... Simply delightful!

Although we only spent one night in Casa Xochicalco, it was an incredibly restful one. The house and the grounds are stunningly beautiful, and the owner received us as if we were part of the family. Indeed we came simply for a night of rest, but left with a new friend. In the morning I took a short jog to...
