I had to go into Athens for a conference at UGA and all the decent hotels were booked. Trip Advisor also recommended some B & B locations. At first, I wasn't sure. I have stayed at some before and it was an "o.k." experience but had the possibility of being bad. I read the reviews and decided to give them...

Our daughter was a freshman last year (2014) and we had no clue how difficult it would be to find lodging during a home game in Athens. The Colonel had one available room remaining after I had called every hotel in town, and I couldn't be happier with the way it turned out! We're avid cyclists, so we enjoyed riding...

We stayed at the Colonels for one night on Sept 15/2015. Originally we were booked into a room with no TV. As we have family in Northern Calif, and there was flooding there at the time, we wanted to be able to watch the news updates on this. When we discussed this with Colonel Marc he immediately moved us to...

We were in Athens for our grandson's college graduation and wanted something other than the standard hotel experience. While looking online, The Colonels Bed and Breakfast appeared to be just what we were looking for, and it was! Beautiful room, lovely house and grounds, and best yet, the owners were a delight. Great breakfasts, too!

After 20+ years in the hotel industry, I am very spoiled. I've been in sales for 4 & 5 star hotels all my life, so I am used to staying in the nicest accommodations throughout the world. I was not disappointed in the Colonels B&B. The grounds were gorgeous, the home was lovely, clean, well kept and Colonel Marc and...

On my father's first visit to the American South, I wanted him to take on an antebellum emprise and The Colonels could not have been a better choice! Marc and Beth made our stay in this historic house by their amiable hospitality and beautiful manor! My parents and I were traveling through Athens to look at southern antebellum mansions, and we truly enjoyed staying at The Colonels. Colonel Marc was welcoming and attentive, and recommended a local high-end restaurant for dinner that left my father marveling at the food! My parents had a wonderful time, and although we stayed at a lot of wonderful locations...

We arrived in Athens after escaping Atlanta Airport travelling from New Orleans on our way through to Charleston. After too many Margharitas and music in NOLA we were weary. Colonel Marc was warm, welcoming and pointed us in the right direction of comfort food and on our return we had the best nights rest we have had in 3 weeks....

Colonel Marc has personalized every detail of our stay! We are staying in room #2 (an original antebellum room) and share the front hallway bathroom with room #1 (also an antebellum room). The entire house is carefully curated with antiques and lends an air of sophistication of the South. Col. Marc is extremely knowledgable of the area and guided us...

Last week my family stayed at the Colonel's B&B outside Athens. The reviews were wonderful and we were excited to reach our destination. We were barely in the door at 7 PM when the Colonel said that an elderly couple had just arrived after a long drive and we needed to be quiet. We also had traveled a long distance...
