My husband and I stayed in The Cave House, which is set off from the main house. The Cave House is lovely and cozy and quiet. We also brought our dog and this made our trip even nicer. The bed was probably one of the most comfortable beds I've slept in in a long long time. Hope, the hostess, is... More

This was our first stay at a bed and breakfast. Hope the hostess made our visit so enjoyable we would like to try the barn the next time. We went purposely in early Dec. when it was cold and damp, wanted to see how we would feel in "challenging" weather conditions. It rained about half of our visit but we... More

Either more the traditional B & B experience in the old house or the Barn or Cave for something a little different and seclusion off the main house...my husband wanted to try the Barn but I couldn't resist the big bath and up to date "Cave" as opposed to the more quaint "Barn." The wonderful woman who runs it is... More

I had my wedding at Jackson House and cannot say enough about the hospitality of the owner or the beauty of the setting. We were married on the front porch of this gracious, well maintained historical home surrounded by mature trees and flourishing plants. We stayed in the main house but there was adequate room for close friends and family... More

We have not personally stayed here- but live a couple of blocks away. Here are our two experiences: First, for our local wedding, my husband's wealthy Chicago Aunt and Uncle stayed in the Cave Room of this bed and breakfast. There were extremely pleased. Secondly, good friends of ours (not so wealthy) came from West Virginia and were looking for... More

We stayed in the "Cave" room. This was a very nice facility located behind the actual house. It is an earth house that is modern and very cozy with a private, secluded patio. Right next to the Cave is the "Barn", which is old horse barn that has been converted into a little house. It features a lower level with... More

We spent a night in the cave room. The cave room is actually an earth house. It has a cute little private patio area but unfortunately it was the winter and we didn't get to use. The cave room is very cozy complete with gas fireplace, flat panel tv and two person jacuzzi. It was absolutely perfect for a romantic... More
