I've stayed twice in the last couple of years with different trios of girlfriends, under different owners. This proved to be economical and the best option for sleeping 3 individually. The breakfast voucher at nearby restaurant wasn't much, so I'd hesitate to call this a b&b, but the owners were accommodating about getting in etc and I would recommend it.

As you noted Lace Lodging is not a Bed & Breakfast but rather an Inn were people can stay and have the option of cooking your own breakfast or going to the available restaurants that are nearby. Thank you for your comments. If you are in the area we would be happy to have you stay with us again. Thanks... More

What nice accommodations. The rooms were spacious, very clean, neat and tidy Bonnie, the owner, met us and showed us around the nice suite. A large kitchen and bath, spacious living room and kitchen was quite welcoming. This is a simple, yet inviting place with country charm, a great place for a family retreat, or a couples getaway. We will... More

Stayed at Lace Lodging in the Amana Colonies. It is in a good location with respect to the restaurants and other local attractions. Our suite was clean (but plain) and well appointed. Lace Lodging would be an ideal place for a group "getaway" as the Suite was very large.

I rented the downstairs place for a weekend getaway with my mother, sister, and two women friends. We were not disappointed; our space was spacious, clean, well appointed, and charming. Bonnie and Brian are new owners who went out of their way to accomondate us. There were 5 of us so I worried about the space. The main 'living room'... More

My husband and I stayed at Lace Lodge for Memorial Day weekend. We enjoyed being able to walk all over the colony to shops, restaurants, wineries and the micro-brewery. Also was great for bike riding with close access to the trail. We did not need our car once we arrived. Very quiet, private, spacious, clean and pleasant. Prepping our own... More

I just returned from a girls weekend and stayed at the Lace Lodge. There were 5 woman and we all agreed it was perfect. Vicki the owner was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and there was plenty of room for us to move about freely without feeling cramped. I highly recommend the Lace Lodge.

Vicki, the owner operator was great. First she showed us the place, it's perks and details, then-if we were satisfied, it's a trip to the office. And of course we were. In her day, that procedure was the norm; today-it's over the top customer service. So of course, we had no surprises. Great location-right behind the Amana General Store. You... More

I can not say enough positive things about Lace Lodging in the Amana Colonies. The location is perfect. We parked right outside our suite and walked to everything. Vicki, the owner, was very personable and helpful. She even left her cell phone number with us so that we could get in touch with her throughout our stay. The suite was... More

My husband and I enjoyed several days here, in 2 bedroom unit. Breakfast was basic-make our own. There was cereal, milk, juice, fruit, jelly and English muffins. The b&b is in a good location in Amana where we could easily walk to stores, restaurants and a history museum. Apartment was well maintained. Weather was very hot and the air conditioning worked... The owners are neglectful; I called for a reservation for a stay about 5 months in advance because the town was quickly booking up for a holiday weekend.
