Staff was nice. Place clean. Needs updating. Just average. Gets very noisy. Rooms aren't insulated for noise. Pullout bed was broken. No pillows or blankets for pullout. Furniture looks like was in a 80s movie.

We spent a weekend here for the local college football homecoming. The staff was the nicest we have ever encountered, and bent over backwards to make sure we had everything we needed. The place was clean and quiet, with a nice breakfast area along the pool. I would highly recommend staying here if you are in Ames.

Stayed here for one night while passing through on a road trip. We didn't want to stay directly in town so thought this hotel on the outskirts would be quiet and nice. And it had a restaurant and bar. But, sadly, we made a mistake. First of all, they didn't take AARP discounts on a weekend! Huh? They had a...

We were in town for a class and stayed at the Quality Inn. Nice being able to walk out of my room and into the class. Below zero outside. Was okay. Not the fanciest, but very convenient. Breakfast was good and room was clean.

Friendly staff, clean, quiet. Hot breakfast was very good. Pets allowed. Indoor pool, no hot tub. Very small workout room. Close to I-35. About 10-12 minutes to the university. Overall a good value for the price.

Stayed here for a business trip. The property is well kept but my room was a little out dated with an old recliner to match. The room and bathroom were clean so no concerns there. The bed had four small square pillows which weren't that great. Only other concern was that the water pressure in the shower was only slightly...

This morning I was awoken at 9:30am (already too late for breakfast here) to the sounds of children shouting and having a ball in the hotel pool which is right outside my window. I love children. They can wake me up any day of the week -- no problem. I'm happy because this means that I can have my much...

The first room they gave us smelled like mildew. The second room they gave us was not as bad but still smelled like mildew. There is an open covered pool which I think is the problem. The exercise room was nice with a tv. The breakfast had sliced fake eggs but also cereal and waffles.

Staff were exceptionally helpful and caring. Had some really good steaks at the bar/restaurant, altho it isn't open for lunch. I got a room away from the pool to lessen the noise factor. Walkable is Jimmy John's, Pizza Ranch and nearby are Arby's and Burger King for quick alternatives. Odd that the windows in the hallways don't have window coverings....

The hotel appearance is a little classier than a typical Quality Inn. It has a conference center/ballrooms. The pool area was very nice. It was an courtyard area with ample tables and very attractive. Breakfast was near here so there were a lot of tables which was a bonus because most Quality Inns are very limited. Breakfast was standard with...
