We felt like part of the Moroccan family in this beautiful home. The location is ideal, difficult to find at first, but we were able to meet some friends of the owners at their restaurant (that was very easy to fine) and they walked us over to the Dar. You could spend days wandering around the house alone looking at... More

We had a fantastic stay at Dar El ma.the place although considerably cheaper from the average hotels in the medina, is very beautiful and quiet. Hidden in a quiet alley the house has only two rooms with a shared bathroom, making the experience more personal. I like that the place is renovated respecting the original features of the dar but... The house is centrally located in the medina, so close to all the souks. Very clean and spacious. The room have A.C. so that is a treat in the summer. Lots of places to lounge and nap in the house. The kitchen is clean and also available for cooking meals.

Dar El Ma is a labor of love, and it is apparent in every detail of the layout and decor. A traveler's must if wanting to experience the Fes medina first hand. To be honest, my favorite part of my time in Fes was sitting in the central floor area of the dar with the sun flooding in on the... More

We had a fantastic time at Dar el Ma! The riad is absolutely stunning with plenty of communal space to relax in after a busy day wondering through the Medina. Imane was so welcoming and helpful, preparing a delicious breakfast each morning and happily answering any questions and queries we had. Highly recommended!

We loved our stay here and were sorry to leave. Dar el Ma is a small riad in a beautifully restored building with two spacious and lovely bedrooms, well situated in the heart of the medina. It is full of intimate little spaces to curl up with a book or just enjoy the ambience, and the view from the rooftop... More

We had better stays in Morocco, nothing really wrong with Dar el Ma, just feel like you could find something better. Pros: Someone will meet you just inside the medina and escort you to the house upon arrival (essential), rooms are big, free laundry, Houda is very nice and manages to get a lot done in the time she is... We are sorry to hear that Tammy essentially booked a place that didn't suit her. Dar el Ma is a traditionally restored Dar (where breakfast can be ordered earlier if asked in advance) and lets you kick back and soak up the atmosphere of the heart of an ancient bustling medieval medina. As extraneous noise goes, Dar el Ma is... More

this is such a beautiful riad and in a great place. We really enjoyed our stay here; Houda was a lovely hostess (as was the woman who was training to take over from her--forgetting her name!). We had a great time shopping the medina with Houda then cooking lunch in the kitchen, then sharing it with them on the gorgeous... More

Like much of the Medina, Dar el Ma feels like stepping back in time. It's a beautiful old house, with two large bedrooms that face each other across a central courtyard/atrium. Location is great. It's right off one of the main roads of the Medina, and (unlike a lot of other things in the Medina) it's very easy to find... More
