The hotel is beautiful and food excellent. Be warned that not every room has a window (Royal does not). Use your street smarts. The “professor/volunteer” offered by the receptionist speaks excellent English and is informative, but is clearly a guide trying to get tourists to

My family of 5 (my husband and I, our mothers, and our adult daughter) stayed 3 nights at the Riad Fes Maya Suites in March 2019. This beautiful riad is just inside the Medina, easily accessible by taxi. The photos cannot fully capture the stunning beauty of this property.

Great restaurant! Rooftop views are amazing and the Tagine is fabulous; we went twice while in our two days in Fes. Kafta Tagine was my favorite and the salad varieties were delicious. Samae took great care of us and is very nice!

Really nice stay at Maya! The breakfast was fantastic by the window of city view. Decoration and all the furnitures are genuine antiques from 17 century. Staffs are friendly and helpful! There was a little accident with our driver and a staff at Maya (Sama) helped us figured out

There is only 3 floors before you reach the terrace and there is a tiny tiny elevator so you don’t need to worry about carrying luggage by yourself. The bathroom is well equipped with everything , tub , shower, etc. maybe little difference depending on the room type you booked.

Agreed. It is about a 10 minute walk at the most to one of the main gates of the Medina. The Riad itself has an excellent roof top restaurant with great views. There are other riads with restaurants close by as well. There is a dinner show restaurant about 2 blocks towards the Medina on the right hand side and up a little side street which is pretty good. I don’t have the name now but book and sit on the lower level. I am not sure what you will find in the Medina for dinners. It is chaotic, confusing, a maze and over 9000 alleyways and little lanes. Hire a guide to take you through the Medina or you will get lost. We did not see any dining type places in the Medina itself. But there could have been somewhere in there! It’s an amazing place, have fun!
