Although not many rooms can be offered by the newly renovated guest house, its design is rich of Mediterranean character. The exquisite environment allows us to enjoy the quietness in the mid of the busiest medina. We received a warm and friendly hospitality during our 2-night stay at the family run of guest house. The owner not just giving us...

Fez is a great experience! Everyday life in this superb medieval city is buzzing and Dar Othmane is nicely placed in a quiet alley where I was able to feel a part of everyday life yet have a secluded spot to retire to when necessary. I found Dar Othmane spotlessly clean with nice en-suite facilities. It had been refurbished recently...

We had a great time. We were received with love and open arms. The tour she gave us including all the inside story of modern Fes was really interesting. The rooms were great! Returning to a fresh, originally decorated place, after a long day in the heat was relaxing. I recommend this place when Anne Marie is around. She will...

The rooms are fine but in a cold March you need a fire place to take the damp away. The owner is friendly and the roof terrace is lovely for breakfast. The alleyway to the main street is full of rubbish and cats though.

We stayed in Dar othmane . The room was beautiful, cosy and very clean (including the bathroom). Stuff very nice and helpful. We booked the room via internet and the response was immediate. These nights were our first days in Fez and in Morocco and manager Hicham made us warm welcome and helped making first impression of this city even...

There is nothing much wrong with Dar Othmane, but there is nothing much to recommend it either. The location is a quite far from the center of museums, cafés and restaurants and you need to drive a good distance further to the parking area at Ain Azliten to access this part of the medina. I rang from the station, and...

Service: None to speak of. We were greeted (sort of) in a car park near the hotel by a young fellow and then led quite quickly to the hotel without any real explanation of the area. Buffet breakfast on the roof was promoted on the website, but this never happened over our 5 days despite the weather being perfect. Breakfast...

This was the perfect place to explore the medina from - and retreat back to, to absorb the sights and sounds and smells! We just wandered without a guide, but with a map and some ideas of what we wanted to see and experience- and then enjoyed the rooftop terrace in the heat of the day - also at night,...

Located in a quite side street this beautiful decorated old median house gives a true experience of what it means to live in a median. Very friendly staff and a perfect breakfast.

Dar Othmane is a charming guesthouse traditionally and beautifully restored and nestled in the heart of the old Medina of Fes, Morocco. The house is more than 300 years old and features walls of polished tadelakt, original cedar wood beamed ceilings and doors which have been restored beautifully. All the furniture has been made by local craftsmen. The central courtyard is decorated with ornate zellig tiles and is a perfect place to relax after exploring the old Medina and it’s alleyways and small streets. Iraq glass has been placed in all the windows for peace and privacy, and warmth in the winter months when the evenings can be a little cooler. The roof terrace with its panoramic views of the Medina and the surrounding hills is the perfect haven, whether you want to enjoy the sun or read in the shade. It’s offering moments of intmiacy, relaxation and meetings between the guests. Its an ideal place to spend your evenings watching the sun go down, whilst you wine and dine under the African sky.Dar Othmane is located in the heart of the Medina yet easily accessible from the main street Talaa Kebira. It’s just a 10 minutes walk to “Bab Boujiloud”, the beautiful blue gate which is the main entry to the oldest Medina of the world.
