Don't expect anything fancy from this place but if you're looking for a inexpensive, clean hotel right near the blue gate to the Medina, this is a great option!! All the staff were very helpful and there's a large terrace on the roof with a beautiful view of the city and county side. The breakfast wasn't anything special (typical Moroccan...

Decent hotel, I stayed for one night. The location and the beautiful terrace are definitely the highlights. The room was pretty clean but the A/C didn't work and there was a hole in the bathroom ceiling where I assume a fan might have been at one time. Overall, certainly livable for a couple nights but not for a long stay.

Although not the prettiest of places to stay it is clean, cheap, easy to get to and close to the medina. The front desk guy is very helpful and always quick with a smile. If you have any queries he will be able to answer them. Hot tip: skip the free breakfast and go to clock tower cafe instead!

Very good location for family. I went with my wife and 2yr old. Taxi outside, local shops and restaurants and mosque, good surroundings. No need to travel through alleyways with a child etc. It was nice tidy rooms. But breakfast was just bread roll with jam and butter, tea coffee. Nothing else. Not filling so we bought some things from...

This year was my second appearance at Hotel Bab Boujloud, and in comparison with last year the fittings and fixtures were beginning to look rather frayed, unsurprising even for a relatively new building because of the poor quality of Moroccan plumbing and parts available, one electrical plug socket in the bathroom of my room parted company with the wall when...

The Hotel Bab Boujloud is a great, no-frills place to stay in Fez. It is very inexpensive, it is conveniently located just outside the gate to the old city. The rooms are reasonably clean and good sized. My 21 year old son thought it was great. Preferring a bit more luxury I would have liked a bathroom that did not...

Utilitarian , charmless hotel, the one saving grace is that it is cheap. However very very noisy. The second night I was there I didn't get any sleep at all from the racket both inside and outside the building. Told the staff and they just laughed! Rooms are tiny and very basic would not recommend it.

Stayed here for a total of four nights on two separate occasions, once in one of the two rooms on the roof (wonderful! and just 120 Dh). Staff was really friendly, and the breakfasts (included) were great - they serve the same thing every morning, but I liked it lots. Above all else, the location can not be beat. I...
