The hospitality of the staff was outstanding! Mohammad and his friend Abdul were top notch. We were greeted promptly upon arrival with a delicious cup of tea. They were extremely accommodating and quick to respond when we needed anything. We toured all over with Abdul one day and he showed us all the main attractions. He also hooked us up with...

We have stayed 2 nights on June 2015 at Dar Rbab, Fes and throughly enjoyed the experience. As an hotelier (General Manager in a top luxury hotel chain), I am looking to stay in a unique and authentic places that enliven and stimulate my senses and let me feel for the duration of my stay as I would belong to...

What truly made our trip to Fes special was the unwavering attentiveness of Dar Rbab's house manager, S'Mohamed. Being a tourist in a place like Fes can be quite a daunting task, but S'Mohamed was there 24/7 to ensure our time both inside and outside the house was as comfortable and easy as possible. When he says "I am at...

We've been in this charming and beautiful riad for one night only but everything has been just perfect. The room and bathroom are stunning, the structure is one of the best of its kind, the breakfast was great and most of all Mohammed conquered us with his charm and very useful advices and tips. Thanks!

Had a nice time in Fez at Dar Rbab. The Riad itself is stunning and you feel like set back to the middle age. The rooms are simple but still have a nice flair with an ensuite bathroom. The house itself is located in a very quiet neighbourhood which is nice if you want to take a rest after spending...

We stayed in the White Room of Dar Rbab and whilst I agree with other reviewers that the room will probably never look like those advertised, as the doors won't be opened like that, the room (and the bathroom) were still well decorated and lovely. The house itself was the best we stayed in in Morocco, granted we were three...

Dar rbab is spectacular, an immaculent clean place with really good water pressure and hot water to last for ages. Me and my friend Blake talked Mohammed down on the price of one of the second story rooms from 380 MAD to 300 MAD, the price is definitely negotiable especially in May which is kind of the off season. The...

During my recent three week visit to Fes, i slept in eleven different riads and dars. Dar Rbab was one of the less enjoyable stays. The location of this dar is Zkak Romane area which is kind of hard to fine in the medina and its a very local neighborhood. I arrived at a time earlier confirmed by my message,...

I'm very sorry you didn't enjoy your stay at Dar Rbab. I think you can tell from the other reviews that your experience was in no way typical. If you would like to return to Fes, please come and stay at our expense and we hope you'll see the real Dar Rbab.

In January 2014 I spent some night in this place, while wandering around the old town and visiting nearby Meknes and Volubilis. I arrived after dark and Mark already told me Dar Rbab was not easy to find. Ignore the guys offering to help you, because from Bab Guissa it's not far. The guys working in shops and teahouses can...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Dar Rbab is a charming, 300 year old house in the Fès Medina. It has been lightly restored to provide spacious, en suite bedrooms with air conditioning, within the framework of the existing house. All the original features remain - access to your room is by huge, gilded cedar wood doors - and the house is a warren of small staircases and interesting corners. There's an informal atmosphere - the house was originally our family home - and great food available to order. ... more   less
