Dar Roumana, and my second experience of a Riad after a stay in one in Marrakesh, was once more breath-taking.
Reviews by superlatives are rather dull (just seen Book of Mormons...) but this was everything we could have hoped for and more: a great, quiet...More
Dar Roumana is the Jewel of the old medina. This spectacular building brings you into the heart of culture and traditional Moroccan architecture. It is magic from when the front door opens. You really feel like royalty here.

Dar Roumana was one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in during my rest trio to Morocco. You can't see much from the outside, but the inside is amazingly beautiful, with extra-high ceilings and beautiful tilework. The roof terrace is great, as the building...More
What a great place. Nothing from the outside but once inside WOW! Our room was large and comfortable, the food fantastic and all the people involved in running the Dar Roumana were very friendly and helpful. This Riad is close enough to the Medina to...More

It's a short walk from the nearest gate to Dar Roumana. The gates having parking lots, though I'm sure you have to pay someone to keep an eye on the car. If you have a cell you'll be set as you can call the Dar to alert them of your arrival. If you don't it could be problematic as nothing is easy to find on your first entrance into the medina. Vanessa is terrific, alert her to your plans and I'm sure she'll help you figure it all out. ENJOY!
