Homey from all its angles. Everything about this place is beautiful, genuine, smart, comforting, convenient, and clean. The food was fantastic, everything from the breakfast at the terrace to a mini snack during a resting hot afternoon. Perfect calm location, while only a nice stroll from the busy city. Great & smooth wireless connection. Reasonably priced and impossible to disappoint....

We stayed in this Riad the final week of March, and had a great stay, start to finish. Initially, we were having some travel issues, as we were coming to Fes from Essouirra and it was a long travel day. The day we were intending to arrive, it became quickly apparent that we would be on a late train to...

We traveled to Morocco on short notice and were a little overwhelmed trying to plan our trip from home. Dar Roumana told us that they could help us arrange guides and day- and overnight trips into the surrounding countryside. Vanessa sat with us during our first (fabulous) breakfast and we planned out our whole week. Then Vanessa and her assistant...

Dar Roumana is a spectacularly beautiful courtyard house-hotel near the outer edge of the very dense Fez medina. Vanessa, Vincent and their local staff offer considerate and knowledgeable advice to their guests and refined cuisine in their restaurant. Guest rooms, common rooms, the roof terrace and the courtyard itself offer a variety of comfortable places to relax in. Access to...

Dar Roumana is jaw droppingly beautiful - a oasis hidden behind large wooden doors. A great place to become orientated to Fes, which is magical in itself. Apart from that, the hospitality of Vanessa, Vincent and their local staff make you feel completely at home. I wanted a place to rest and it provided me the perfect refuge. The management...

I had a suite on my own floor, which was huge, beautifully decorated and equipped with a beautiful bed. The breakfast was ample and delicious. I will definitely stay here again. The only problem was that being at the top of the riad, you can hear all the minarets calling to prayer early in the pre-dawn morning. I doubt that...

Don't judge a book by it's cover. That is a saying I heard often in Morocco and nothing was truer when you stepped into Dar Roumana. It's inner beauty is like a hidden secret. The location is perfect. The minute you are greeted at the door you feel as if you are in your own home. The entire staff could not...

My wife and I had the privilege of staying at Dar Roumana along with a friend from out of town in mid-February 2013, and what a privilege it was. Where to begin? The place is out of a dream - i still remember looking at my wife's jaw dropping as we entered into the Riad, the light streaming down into...

My wife and I were fortunate to stay at in the Roumana suite for 3 nights during our honeymoon in Morocco. After a marathon day of travel that had ended with a 5-hour train trip from Tangier, we arrived in Fes late at night just as it began to rain heavily, and we were tired, cold, and not in the...

Beautifully restored Riad guesthouse in the ancient medina with a 360 degree panoramic view from the furnished roof terrace, where drinks and breakfast is served. All rooms (4 suites and 1 double room) are decorated with traditional arts and crafts, intricate carved plaster, high cedar ceilings, mosaic tile floors, and hand-crafted furniture.
