I can strongly recommend El Yacout as a place to stay in Fes. My wife and I spent several more days in this beautiful, wonderfully restored medieval mansion than expected as a result of my wife's needing to recover from a period of hospitalization. This riad is said to have been the single family residence of a 14c. Moroccan philosopher, restored to the present state of a twenty (plus) room riad. It is an amazingly beautiful place with many original Moroccan antiques and traditional design. My husband and I stayed at this attractive Riad. It is located in the old Medina and is quite large as it is made up of a couple of old houses of n the Medina. Many of the original features such as the beautiful tiles have been kept. There is an inviting pool area and soon to be a hamman....

We just spent two amazing days in Fez, staying at the el Yacout. We loved the road, all the staff were welcoming and extremely helpful. Mohammed, the manager, saw to everything we needed. The road is beautiful and our room was beautifully appointed and so comfortable. We'd love to comeback!

We highly recommend this riad. Its 5 minutes from Blue Gates, shopping and restaurants. Food and service in riad just excellent Great riad in fes. The manager Mohammed made our stay very special thank you so much mohamed and him staf
