My mother and I returned from Riad Sofia a few days ago. I can say the instantly friendly manner greeting us was one of comfort and warmth. Instantly we felt welcomed and regarded as friends/family. The staff made it quite clear we were home from home, and offered a service to meet our needs. Very helpful information and sound advice...

I stayed at Riad Sofia from the 25th November 2014, for three nights with my three friends and we all really enjoyed our stay! The Riad is very clean and confortable, wi-fi works perfectly, breakfast is gourgeous and for italian people to say that, in a country outside Italy, it is very unusual! But the most perfect thing is the...

Riad Sofia or how to experience the beauty of Marrakech to the fullest... The photos describe pretty well the beauty of the Riad Sofia. The stunning terrace, the pool, the rooms, its location within the paved and narrow heart of Marrakech...perfectly comfortable without losing a hint of authenticity! But the crucial point of this review is to share this sense of...

I was in two minds as whether to rate this place as average or good. The Riad itself is wonderfully decorated. It was so colourful with a pool just outside our room and the roof terrace was a great place to relax away from the bustle of Marrakesh. We used it often. The room we stayed in (I shared a...

Both my boyfriend and I stayed at this stunning Riad at the end of April for 4 nights. It is centrally located, and we never felt concerned walking through the narrow streets as all the locals were friendly and kept themselves to themselves. It would have been hard to find, but, Omar ensured we had one of his staff to...

I stayed at this lovely Riad 2 years ago and loved it so much I came back again with my boyfriend thsi February/March. The Riad Sofia is kept very clean and it is a lovely quiet and tranquil oasis away from the noise and bussle of the Medina, yet it is only a short walk to the Souks. The location...

The Riad Sofia is in a good location of the Medina and generally, the staff were quite nice. However, the manager, Omar, has a drinking problem as he was drunk when he greeted us upon arrival on Thursday evening and continued to drink for the next two nights. One night, he and his drinking buddies who were hanging out at...

As two females in our twenties, we had been given many warning about Marrakech and arriving at the riad late in the evening can be slightly daunting as the riad is located down a derb (winding alley). HOWEVER we booked a transfer via the riad and they took us straight to the door and once the daylight begins it is...

I have been visiting Marrakech 4 times, and the two last times I have stayed in Riad Sofia. I find it nice, clean, very silent at night, and with friendly and helpful staff. This last time me and seven friends spent three nights in the Riad, one night when we arrived in Marrakech, a second night after a trek in...

Riad Sofia is well located for all the main attractions, central in the Medina, and a 10 minute walk to the main square (Djemaa El-Fna). Once you've had a day to get your bearings you'll be fine, but on arrival getting to the riad is not easy - the map provided could be better. It's also worth noting this riad...
