It is a basic 3 star hotel on western standards so don't expect luxury! But great for a budget traveller (paid £20 pn for room and breakfast) Location is FANTASTIC, you are literally a stones throw from both the Koutoubia Mosque and the main square. The kasbah is about a 10/15min walk and the Majorelle gardens about 20/25mins, so you...

Short stay for a work trip. Excellent location. Everything was close to the hotel. Beautiful view of the Koutoubia. Tried the Moroccan restaurant! Perfect. Excellent food. Traditional. Price was really cheap for what i got. People are amazing. They were very helpful. Nothing bad to say honestly. Would recommend it to you all! Ask for Raja Bennani! She was very...

If you are seeking a basic cheap hotel and location is your only priority then this will suit you fine. I was part of a large group for this visit and it was ideal for facilitating us, providing a suitable communal area as well as the opportunity to all dine together. I would never dream of visiting this hotel if...

OK...not particularly glamorous but have stayed there 8 years on visits. Not for a romantic honeymoon. Great food and clean rooms which need updating but, hey, if you want four star then pay four star !! Good atmosphere in the dining room and banquettes for sitting to eat if you prefer them to more conventional tables and chairs. Don't rely on...

If you want a cheap, central, clean, owner run hotel across the street from the Minerva Marrakech, this hotel ticks all the boxes. Rooms are bright, clean, and renewed every day. The owner and his wife attend to all your needs, along with efficient and friendly staff. Mustafa the night porter knows all there is to know about Morocco and...

I visited Hotel Foucauld in July 2010 beore heading out to the Atlas mountains for a 7 Day trek. The Hotel itself was what I'd expect, clean, friendly staff, and has good food on offer. The hotel was a two minute walk from Jamaa el Fna square which had a lot of things going on. I would stop at this...

Luckily I only stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights. The rooms were small, the lock on the toilet door wasn't working, it was very noisy, and if I left the window open I got the smell of KFC going into my room which wasn't great to sleep in, the beds were fairly average. Judging from slightly different...

I find it difficult to believe that other travellers speak uncritically about this truly dreadful hotel. I know Marrakesh well enough to be aware of standards of accommodation in relation to prices and levels of service. The location of this hotel (opposite the entrance to Djema el Fnaa) is the only thing which might commend it to visitors who want...

The room war alright for the price. There was no hot water though. The staff was not friendly, the guy who simply took our one piece of luggage luggage without asking and carried it upstairs for 10 seconds shamelessly demanded money for it. Breakfast was alright, payment was cash upfront. Thankfully had to stay there only for a single night....

“Street front rooms are exciting for watching the hustle and bustle but can be noisy at night. Rooms on the roof top are good. Whichever room you are in you will hear the Muezzin call from the Koutoubia Mosque next door. Absolutely excellent and you know you are somewhere special.”
