This Riad was absolutely beautiful, and utterly relaxing! From the moment we entered the Riad to when we left, they were truly relaxing, very accommodating, and an all around pleasure to stay at. The entire staff was COVID friendly as well. We were upgraded to a beautiful suite and loved every detail. The suite and the Riad itself were romantic and relaxing, a great oasis away from the hustle of the City. Their staff was attentive and amazing, the food delicious! We loved our stay at Riad Idra and cannot recommend it enough. They were very accommodating with breakfast and dinner times and made sure to make our stay as relaxing as possible. We couldn’t have asked for a better start to our time in Morocco!

Karine and her team made us feel special and welcome from the moment we stepped over the threshold. She offered us mint tea and biscuits while giving valuable information about Marrakech and the Medina which was important to us as first time visitors. Our beautiful room was tastefully decorated and appointed and large enough for us to spread out and be comfortable. Breakfast was served on the roof-top terrace surrounded by colorful Bouganvillia, and with views over the Medina. Karine was also most helpful and generous to my wife when her baggage was misplaced by the airline. We can’t thank her enough for that. We recommend Riad Idra very highly and would love to return some day.

From the correspondence with Karine (the riad manager), to our arrival, stay and departure, our experience has been excellent. The receptionist Amin was very helpful and friendly. He gave us good recommendations of places to eat near the riad such as Terrasse des Epices. The riad has a subtle elegance about it. It has the Moroccan details that you’d like to see in a riad, but with finesse; nothing we saw was overly done nor garish. This was my third visit to Morocco. Most riads that I’ve stayed are only nice in the courtyard, but the bedroom and bathroom layout and amenities can fall short. That is not the case in Riad Idra. The bedroom and bathroom are as superb as the courtyard. We learned that a French designer designed the interiors. I chose the Aliya Deluxe Suite. It can accommodate 3 guests: 2 at the King-size bed and 1 at the daybed by the pretty window. There were enough outlets to plug our devices. The bathroom has the best layout I’ve seen so far. You first walk into the closet/dressing area. Then inside the bathroom, a nice tub is across the vanity. There is a separate stall for the shower and the toilet has a door. The layout made it possible for 3 guests to use the bathroom at the same time. The wifi is decent. We made dinner reservations and each meal done by the chef was great. The rooftop has a safari-inspired semi-outdoor living area. My only complaint are the rooftop walls were too high to see the entire medina. But I think this was done for privacy and security. The riad is only a 5 minute walk to the car drop-off and nice shops line the street to the drop off. It’s okay to believe all the good reviews. Based on our experience, they are all true.

This is a real find. A Stylish 7 room. Boutique Hotel/Riad with excellent service and attentive staff with all the amenities and roof top terrace. Close to the action in the old city. Mgr Elaine will look after everything. Breakfast included fresh everything. We had dinner there one night at an additional price -very reasonable and very good. As there are only 7 rooms I wouldn’t look around at others just book this. You won’t regret it.
