In the middle of a secret-looking "Derb", the door opens onto the old OUALI house (Prefect) and the tumult nearby gives way to the sweetness of the patio decorated with orange trees and refreshed by a basin. The patio serves a very large living room with fireplace, a hammam, a massage room as well as a bedroom and a suite with a private garden. The gallery overlooking the patio, conducive to reading, offers light, the scent of orange blossom and birdsongs. This gallery gives access to a bedroom and the Presidential suite with a desk, a winter lounge, two fireplaces and private access to the terrace. The library adjoining the patio joins two very spacious, bright suites with a more contemporary oriental charm. A large dining room adorned with oriental paintings and a large fireplace that can accommodate 21 people will welcome you for all your meals. Finally, one of the largest tree-lined terraces in the Medina will offer you an exceptional view of the High Atlas. Riad Camilia enjoys three refreshment pools. Throughout the house, old carpets, beautiful objects, found by the owners, contribute to the refinement and warmth of the place. All rooms have air conditioning (except the Majorelle room), a bathroom in which western comfort meets oriental charm (with independent toilets), individual heating, a Nespresso machine and a safe. Riad Camilia has a free WIFI access thanks to the optic fiber in all common areas.

What can i say about my experience at Riad Camilia? First that in the summer of Covid 2021 our experience isn’t traditionally what someone could expect!! Unfortunately for the Riad we were their only visitors during that entire week. We were truly blessed and spoiled with attention and space! Anas especially made our stay the absolute best! His guidance and generosity was really expressed throughout the entire week. We will never forget it! Thank you for everything, we will definitely be coming back when things return to normal in Marrakech to get the full City Experience!!

My girlfriend and I stayed at RIAD Camilia for a long weekend in late February 2021! Our stay was excellent and much better than I had initially expected. I had spoken to the Riad owner Helen before arrival and she was extremely available and promptly replied to all of my questions via Whatsapp! Helen organised for a transfer to pick us up from the airport and to drop us off on the departure day. Upon arriving at the property which is situated inside the Marrakech Medina walking distance from all the amazing Souks, Helen kindly offered us a free upgrade to a bigger room as we were the only guests in-house (Global Pandemic still raging). It was almost like having a huge Villa all to ourselves which made the experience that much more intimate! Hellen was an extremely attentive host who constantly tried to go above and beyond to ensure that our stay was as comfortable and as enjoyable as possible! Overall this property is extremely well located, comfortable & intimate and run by amazing owners and staff who are clearly passionate about delivering an excellent hospitality experience! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I found Riad Camilia in The Telegraph and am so glad I chose it. Given the uncertainty with Covid, before the stay began I was very impressed with how responsive Hélène was to all my questions. She responded to all my queries - including where I could get a Covid test within 72 hours of my departure from Morocco - and made some other suggestions, like airport transfer and lunch upon arrival, that made our stay more enjoyable. That really put my mind at ease about travelling. The place is exactly like it looks in the pictures - beautiful, cozy and well located, with great and helpful staff. In these unusual times we had the place literally to ourselves; I would like to return when there are more guests to appreciate better the ambience of the place. When lockdown began in Marrakesh during our stay and most everything closed including restaurants (!!), we were able to hang out in the warm and glorious sunshine on the rooftop of the riad all day and take our dinners - top quality in every respect - in the dining room in the evening. Afterwards we could hang out in the cosy, well-decorated lounge on the ground floor in front of the fire with our wine. Our room - the suite on the ground floor - was large, comfortable, and clean with a huge bathroom. Finally - the location, in the heart of the medina, could not be better. When you're done with the hustle and bustle of the nearby souks you can retreat to the calm and beauty of Riad Camilia. I would definitely stay there again and would even be tempted to rent the whole place with a group of friends.

I'm not sure how many ways I can espouse the beauty of this Riad. Let's start by saying Anas is a brick. He always seemed to be around, always willing to help, and most importantly always with a smile and good humor. In hindsight, I think we'd have been lost without is help. The basics: The Riad is beautiful. The rooms (that we saw) are lovely. Judging by how ours was, the photos of the other rooms will not lie. The central garden is peaceful and a wonderful place to have a cup of fresh mint tea. Breakfast was simple and varied, always served with a smile. The day we left for simplicity we had lunch at the Riad and my goodness, we were full! In other words, food and hospitality was top notch. The entrance to the Riad is a bit daunting. It's down a small passage, that gets smaller, narrower and darker the further you go. The door at the end is not obvious when you start, so it can be a bit concerning. However, once the door opens you understand the whole concept of keeping the outside out, and the inside in. The Riad is apparently four buildings joined together over time to make what is at first a bit of a maze, but after a little while you realize it's not so complex after all, and you find your way around, although I did turn around quite a bit. The rooftop deck is expansive, lots of nooks and crannies if you want to hide away and read. We were able to drink a bottle of wine and it came with some condiments, which was wonderful after a day of walking the old city. It was lovely to relax and enjoy the January sun in the late afternoon. My opinion has always been "people make the place" and it's true here. The staff were lovely, always helpful, always smiling. We absolutely fell in love with the old city of Marrakesh and will be going back. Our first port of call will be Riad Camilia. A couple of notes. 1) I thought the bed was comfortable, my wife didn't, so as with all beds, if it's not your own you may like it or not. We did however, sleep until 8:30 so it can't have been that bad! 2) The water pressure in our shower wasn't very good for such an expansive place. I put this down to water in general in the old city until I visited the Hammam and realized they had wonderful pressure there. So not thinking to mention this to Anas until we left, it was my fault for not mentioning it earlier and perhaps it was fixable during our stay. Frankly we were having too good of time to be concerned about water pressure. All in all, with all the traveling I've done over the years, I cannot recommend this place more highly. Thank you Riad Camilia for making it a special time.

Stayed 4 nights in this Riad, it came highly recommended and we were not disappointed. On arrival we were met by the manager Anas, he and his staff provided us with the most professional and personal care. Nothing was too much for Anas and his staff, they could not do enough to please and make sure you enjoy your stay . The rooms are very clean and beautifully furnished and decorated. The Riad is well positioned and is in walking distance of the Medina. This Riad May be a bit more expensive than some but worth every penny . We were made to feel totally at home. Hugh thanks to Anus and his staff .
