A beautiful riad in the Medina and only minutes to El Fna Square. Helpful and pleasant staff. We wanted some downtime from trekking-bus-riding and booked for 6 nights. Peaceful, quiet, central and very well priced. I have subsequently recommended it to a friend who took her adult children and also enjoyed it.

We traveled to Marrakech at the end of February 2015. The weather was lovely. Our flight arrived early so we called the Riad Barroko who arranged a taxi transfer for us for €15. I'm glad we did this as it is very easy to get lost in Morrocco and the Riad Barroko is down some winding streets (which are luckily...

Barroko is an attractive and old Moroccon Riad set in the heart of the Medina only 15 mins walk from El Fna Square and the vast and colourful Souks. Very peaceful retreat after the noise of Marrakech. All the staff were friendly and helpful throughout. We felt very much at ease. Comfortable food, adequate breakfast, and lovely dinner on the...

We had booked 2 single rooms through Thomas Cook but ended up in one double room. Riad claims error by TC, TC claims error by Riad ... anyway we were told it was fully booked and all hotels in town fully booked (New Year) - and therefore no other solution. Not sure about that .. but now waiting for reimbursement...

I booked this holiday for my partners birthday through BA. I was a little nervous about what the Riad would be like as to get there the houses and buildings (like most in Marrakech) look a little bit rough. Biggest tip...ask the Riad to organise your taxi transfer, as you won't find it! This also saves the stress of finding...

The good - clean enough with some friendly female staff.( Hassain was lazy and useless) A decent B&B standard set in the 'real Marrakech' alleys.Breakfast of bread and jam was adequate but not 4 star as promised. The not so good- not 4 star hotel if that what you had booked and paid for!. Not safe for kids with broken...

This was originally booked via BA Holidays as an add-on to the flight taken, so was carefully selected from a small list of options. Reading the reviews beforehand we were looking forward to our first night, however that was where it all ended unfortunately. We contacted the riad directly and arranged a airport pickup/transfer to the riad through Jawad. Upon...

We found this peaceful hidden bed and breakfast just right for a short break inside the medina.French speaking, very quiet, cool, not licensed for alcohol.Keep in mind this is a typical Morrocan guest house. If you want 5 star then go to La maison D'Arabe which is truly fantastic. Big tip.....Get the Riad to organise your transfer, you won't find it ! Also...

We were in Morocco to take a week-long trek into the Sahara and our visit began (2 nights) and ended (1 night) at the Riad Barroko in Marrakech. I have stayed in many Riads throughout Morocco and this one is my favourite! It is a beautiful building, right inside the medina, very close to the Jamaa el Fna square, the...

Have just returned from a week in Marrakech and Riad Barroko with a friend. The Riad is wonderful, the superior double we had was on the roof and had fantastic views, the room was cleaned daily, breakfast was in the courtyard and the two trips we booked to Essaouria and Ourika were great. Essaouria is worth the two hour drive...
