We ( 4 friends) stayed at this hotel for a bit of a break from the British miserable winter weather and it lived up to all our expectations! 2 of our party had visited before or we might have wondered where we were going to...More
Les Cinq Djellabas is a perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of Marrakech. The hotel is set in the Palmerie around 35 minutes from the city of Marrakech and it offers pure relaxation among the cactuses and palm trees.

The hotel is located in the outskirts of Marrakesh. Thus it has a very calm atmosphere to it. The rooms are actually little bungalows, so you have no problem with somebody in the room next to you being too loud. The bungalows are decorated in...More

There's loads to do from organised trips from the hotel to the Atlas Mountains (Spectacular), camel riding (great fun), quad biking over dunes (didn't do), historic tours and so on. The taxis are cheap, and with the taxi you get your own guide. The city of Marrakesh is a real bustle of life so be prepared for hectic! However, my wife and I felt totally safe wandering around the back streets, through the crowds and into the souks (although expect to be approached incessantly to buy stuff, look at shops etc). DO NOT accept anyone's offer to take you to the restaurant you're looking for as they will a) expect payment or b) take you to a restaurant of their choice that gives them a back-hander! It's all normally business over there and not to be unnerved by. We didn't feel intimidated once, even when we got slightly lost in the souks.
