Cristine is a superb host. She truly went above and beyond to make sure we got the best from our stay. make sure you speak with her before booking and meals/spa treatments as she will make excellent recommendations. She will even walk you there if you are unsure of the way! Our room was beautiful - very large and spotlessly...

Dear Molly1107, Tripadvisor is recommending to always write in a very professional way, but sometimes it is almost impossible for me to stick to a "very professional" way of writing and answering back. Your review is beautiful, full of compliments and so positive. This is going straight to our hearts and it is difficult to ask our emotions to stay...

Everything was wonderful from the moment I booked my stay the communication was always fast and my stay was exactly what was needed. Great location, great food, great room and most of all the wonderful hospitality of Christine, Ahmed and all of their staff. Highly recommend staying here for 1 night or 1 month whenever you travel to Marrakech.

The riad is just a few minutes' walk from the main square, yet so secluded it's always perfectly quiet inside. The decoration is beautiful, well-chosen; I adored the black, cone-shaped lanterns with their fine detail. The service was great, too: Mohammed was very useful in providing information about where to buy ras el hanout and what to pay for it...

Dear Carrie328, We sincerely thank you for having taken the time to write a review on Tripadvisor and share your experience with us all. We noted your recommendation for the lighting inside the room you've reserved. We took the necessary actions to change the lighting (brighter) and add some additional one. I've also noted your comment regarding the coffee. I...

I have stayed so far in four other Riads in Marrakech and this is by far the best. Location is perfect. Sufficiently near the madness/charm of the main square yet secluded in a safe, clean, friendly and charming residential area. The deco is obviously Moroccan but very tastefully done and not over the top. The rooms are very large. The...

The approach (narrow alleyways) to this Riad are a bit of an eye opener if it is your 1st visit to Marrakesh as it was for us but when the front door to the Riad is opened it has the wow factor, a beautifully kept Riad with so many original features to see. We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 day stay,...

A lovely Riad with very friendly and helpful staff. The suite was very spacious, well furnished and air-conditioned. Great to be able to go to the market with a staff member and to cook with her in her kitchen, a real experience. The owner, Christina, was very helpful in giving us advice on where to go and what to see....

There are many good reviews of this Riad (converted house to hotel) . One often wonders if they can all be true.. genuine: They are! And more so .. The idea of converting old properties to small hotels is popular in old cities like Chania & Marrakech. It has the advantage of giving a 'homely' feel in a foreign town,...

Overall great place to stay with lovely gracious people. Marrakech is great although busy and this was a lovely place to take it easy. All lovely people but special mention for Mohammed. We went for half board although there was flexibility to have food for lunch rather than dinner. 5 mins walk from El jera but quiet at riad. Thank...

This beautiful Riad is about 15-20 minutes from the airport and is centrally located in the Medina near the Jewish quarter, a few minutes away from Jamaa el-Fna, main sites (Bahia Palace, Tombs, etc), Hop on Hop off stops, shopping and restaurants, cafes, and ice cream shops. The route to the Riad is at first dizzying, but you quickly get...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Riad Dar Sohane is a haven of peace and tranquility in the heart of the famous 'Riad Zitoune' district; District that connects the Djemaa El Fna Square (200m from the riad) to the Bahia and Badi Palaces and the Kasbah (3 to 4 minutes walk from the riad). After crossing the front door and crossing the vaulted hall, you will discover the centerpiece of the riad; The patio, with its central fountain, which was built in Arab-Andalusian style. This patio is a well of light where the rays of the sun are reflected against the white walls and the columns in tadelakt sand color. For your stay, you have the choice between 6 rooms (4 suites and 2 rooms) of different styles. These 6 styles are all inspired by the art, culture and traditions of the country. The decoration of each room was reflected and carried out according to the theme or style of the room. Whether in the early afternoon or at the end of the day, we invite you to enjoy our beautiful terrace located on the roof of the riad. You can sunbathe, relax in the jacuzzi or relax away from the hustle and bustle of the Medina. Looking forward to welcoming you to Dar Sohane, ... more   less
