An Oasis of calm amid the crazy world of the medina. Personal touches mean so much and without doubt it is this and the attention to detail that makes Riad Cherrata was the perfect choice for our first visit to Marrakech. The ambiance and the service ensure that no matter how crazy things are in the medina you have somewhere...

4 days in May 2013 - I can't thank the team at Riad Cherrata (Valérie, Saâdia, Izza and Halima) who helped my wife and I to have the best time in Marrakech removing all the hassle of the transfers from / to the airport, bus tickets, the assistance with maps, mobile phone and general advice on having a relaxing time....

Top class service From the moment we knocked on the door to the minute we were waived-off we were made to feel like the Riad was our home. Valarie and the ladies that run this place really did make our trip to Marrakech hassle free. We weren't particularly impressed with the city itself - but everything about the Riad made...

Besides the charm and welcoming interior of Riad Cherrata with its colourful throw cusions and mini dipping pool, its real draw is the meticulous hospitality of its French owner Valerie. As first-timers to Marrakech, one can be easily bewildered and overwhlemed by this cacophonic, shining city, so having someone to kindly take you by the hand can be truly comforting....

To be honest, I thought some of the previous reviews had to be fake, as the first few sentences of many of them are pretty similar. But I was dead wrong--Riad Cherrata was fantastic and Valerie was awesome. She hosted my wife and I for two nights and did everything she could to make our stay and experience at comfortable...

We stayed in the Sabra suite which was beautiful and, like the whole Riad spotlessly clean. The Riad is definitely a haven of beauty and calm in the midst of the chaos of the Medina! For convenience it would be hard to beat, the famous "square" and the souks are just a few minutes away on foot, however, as mentioned...

... this is simply an amazing place to stay in Marrakech. Already a wonderful city, it was improved no end by Valerie's warm and attentive hospitality; knowledge of the city including hand drawn maps and recommendations; delicious, homemade breakfasts and a calm and cool riad in the midst of the bustle of the medina. We cannot thank Valerie and her...

Riad Cherrata is a haven of calm in the medina. Valerie was so hospitable and helpful, as others have said she spent time drawing us maps, walking us to a nearby restaurant on the first night, booking a hammam and massage for us etc. We also had an evening meal in the Riad which was the best meal we had...

We have never before experienced such great service and attention to detail anywhere in the world. We were so surprised the place was only a 3.5 star! Valerie (the owner) did everything she could to help make our stay comfortable, plus much more. We definitively recommend Riad Cherrata to anybody planning to visit Marrakech.

I'd recommend staying at the wonderful Riad Cherrata if you're visiting Marrakech. Valerie, who runs the Riad greeted us with mint tea and pastries before taking the time to explain where all the sights are on a map. She then walked us to a nearby restaurant as it was late when we arrived and explained to the owner we would...
