Cecil hotel is located on a narrow street (cars can not travel there) close to the Jemaa el Fna square. It consists of two riads bonded together, forming thus a place where one can feel the traditional Moroccan atmosphere. The staff is very helpful. Breakfast on the terrace looking to the Jemaa el-Fna square, is a wonderful time. The same...

Lovely little riad, centred around a tall flowering tree, in a traditional style. Traditional decor, I had an ensuite which was great - included a simple breakfast on the terrace so great value. The only things to mention - google maps gives a very complex way of finding the place - I got quite lost and although locals were friendly...

Good things: • Very near to the market, Jemma el Fna, Koutoubia Mosque, Medina, Musee de Marrakech, Museum Photography, Palais El Badii and Bahia Palace. • We got room for 4 (even tho we actually booked for 2). The beds & room are nice and warm. • Breakfast was good with yummiest Jus D'Orange and Bread. • Rooftop with great...

My wife and I travelled around Morocco during the first 2 weeks of March 2017. A free and easy travel. Upon arrival at the Casablanca Airport, we took a train to Marrakech. When we checked-in at the Hotel Cecil we were greeted by a friendly English-speaking Mr Said Del Desierto. He was very helpful and gave us useful tips of...

I have stayed in many mid range hotels in the medina over the past thirty five years, but this is the best one I've stayed in. We stayed for three nights in January 2017 and had a lovely time here. We were booked for a twin room and when we arrived (late at night) they gave us a larger quad...

Period Riad dating from 1929, conveniently located just a few metres from Jamaa el Fna. However, the property looks like it hasn't been decorated since 1929. Also Jamaa el Fna is painfully noisy all day and through the early hours of the morning: a constant cacophony of loud drumming and wailing sounds as if it comes from the hotel room...

Great location within walking distance of most attractions. The reception staff were fantastic and couldn't have been more helpful. Rooms basic but more than adequate as I don't travel to spend time on hotel rooms. Breakfast on the roof top terrace was a bonus. Only downside is that because the rooms are arranged around an inner courtyard (typical of Marrakesh...

At the reception Mohammed and Rashid were very helpful! Breakfast on terrace was great in the Moroccan sun! Located right next to Jemaa El Fnaa market so was really perfect. It was a little noisy at times in the night because you live right next to the market but it's not so much noise to wake you up. Everyone leaves...
