The Riad Asrari is tucked away in the medina walls near the souk and an exciting walk to the square. We were welcomed by a wonderful staff team Abdul and Adil. We walked into the Riad through a large carved door away from the bustling streets into the calm courtyard of trees and fountains to a beautifully served mint tea...

A beautiful traditional Riad built around a cool, tiled courtyard filled with trees around a central marble fountain. The water and greenery attracted lots of beautiful birds throughout the day and the ground floor also had some lush lounging areas and a charming pet tortoise. Our gorgeous room on the first floor, decorated in an ornate Moroccan style, had a...

My partner and I stayed at Riad Asrari in November for a long weekend away. We booked the Riad via Secret Escapes for a very good deal. Overrall we were very happy with our stay- the staff were so friendly and kind and helpful and the Riad was a lovely well decorated sanctuary from the chaotic Medina outside. Welcome Mint...

Having just returned form an amazing trip to Marrakesh and the Riad Asrari with a close friend, I feel moved to review my experience and share my thoughts. I was very fortunate to be allocated the African room and I was immediately in love. There has been such attention to detail invested in the decor of the rooms, mine was...

Three fabulous days at the Riad Asrari, it was perfect. We regularly popped back for a a rest and a mint tea during the day which was a welcome break from the busy noisy streets. The staff were so helpful, looking after us, giving directions and suggestions for eating out if needed. Just remember not to disturb the staff when...

I got a deluxe room. It's absolutely beautiful down to every details. It's clean too. The staff is super nice. Breakfast was delicious. It's also quiet. All i can hear was birds singing in the courtyard which is very peaceful. Make sure to ask the hotel to arrange taxi for airport transfer. This is my dream home!

I have just returned from a short trip to Marrakech and stayed for 2 nights in the Riad Asrari before moving to another hotel. The Riad is very tranquil and peaceful as described in many reviews. It is a lovely oasis of calm in an otherwise manic environment. We had a lovely room and the environment was beautiful. The staff...

I spent 4 nights here recently with friends and it was lovely. The breakfast was delicious and served on the roof terrace, an oasis of calm. Adil was very helpful and carefully explained directions several times over as the Medina was a little complex!!!! The hotel arranged a trip to the Atlas mountains with various stops en route and a...

I have just returned from a 4 night stay at Raid Asrari with friends. Absolutely beautiful Raid - all rooms were themed, very clean. Breakfast was served every morning on the terrace, you certainly wouldn't go hungry. Within walking distance of all main attractions or taxi rank if you wanted to go further afield. A trip up the Atlas mountains...

Just returned from four nights at Riad Asrari with a friend, booked through Secret Escapes. As a previous commenter has said, it's no exaggeration that this does feel like an oasis after coming in from the chaotic streets outside. Set around a tranquil shady courtyard (don't step on the tortoises), with a rooftop terrace with loungers, the rooms are themed...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Located in the heart of the Marrakech Medina, in the area of Bab Doukkala, easy to reach by car or a ten minute walk from the JEMAA el FNA Square and beautifull Majorelle Gardens, this 17th century Riad has been restored with full respect to the Moroccan tradition, keeping its original characteristics: a patio shaded by trees, the coolness of its very old marble fountain, peaceful living-rooms and a beautifully planted terrace where you can enjoy the Sunset and the view of the Medina... The RIAD ASRARI is a traditional riad with wonderful moroccan craftsmanship such as sculpted plaster ceilings, exquisitely carved Cedar doors, colorful tadelakts and zelliges skilfully composed of delicate oriental patterns. You will be welcomed with traditional pastries and Mint tea by our thoughtful and discreet staff. You will discover peaceful places to rest: the terrace and sun-beds, comfortable sofas and the kaidale tent under which you can have your breakfast. You can also relax, read and dream in our beautiful living rooms... On the patio, you will be enchanted by the magestic pace of our two tortoises as they follow their daily sunbathing ritual If you are patient enough you might also see our chameleon who plays hide and seek in the trees ! The furniture and decorative objects were procured during the owner's numerous travels, or were designed and made on site by Moroccan craftsmen. Many Primitive Art pieces are exhibited throughout the riad... All of these well considered elements have been combined for a perfect getaway. In the RIAD ASRARI, you can forget television and noisy pools...You will discover another Marrakech, in the heart of the Arabic Tradition: authentic and refined ... more   less
