What a lovely, clean and gorgeous place. No Litter anywhere in Marakech. The Riad was excellent value and we were all treated as 'one of the family'. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners and staff. The rooms were cleaned every day, the food lovely and the staff so helpful with advice and conversation you really make friends with...

This was such a lovely riad located in a really great location in Marrakech. The staff were friendly and helpful the whole way through our 4 night stay. We had the whole riad to ourself as we hired all 7 rooms. It was a beautiful place to stay with a great breakfast each morning and we also had a lovely...

We spent two nights at this Riad. The first time we went it was around 11:30 PM. The staff waited for us until we showed up. They offered us tea and scones. The second time we went a few days later we stayed in a different room. Both rooms were very nice. The beds were comfortable. The rooms were cleaned...

We were at first a little intimated at the location of the riad as it was tucked all the way in the back of a dimly lit alley. But it was totally safe. A little confusing to find at first as it is in the heart of the medina with all the maze of alleyways. But we didn't have a...

First of all this place is extremely hard to find. There is another review that covered finding it from one direction but since we came into the Medina from a different way, we had to backtrack a few times to eventually find it. Offline GPS was no help (using maps.me) and so it was very frustrating. There are no signs...

The Riad staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, to start with we were a little overwhelmed having just walked through the Medina and this being our first visit. We were welcomed with fresh mint tea and delicious homemade biscuits. I cannot remember everyone's name but the Manager who welcomed us made sure we had a map and explained how we...

Decor was a bit dramatic, but fun. Was very happy to have been put up a room that was an upgrade from the one I had originally booked as I was there during the low season. The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff were very welcoming and went over a map of Marrakesh with us over mint tea...

Lovely Riad in a very relaxing atmosphere. We had dinner in the beautiful patio and breakfast on the roof terrace (our room opened directly on the roof terrace which was lovely). You can enjoy the quiet settings of the Riad, at the end of narrow street, and still, you're just near the vibrant heart of the Medina: less than 10...

I travel frequently to Marrakech. I have chosen to stay with Samira Riads each time. This Riad is snugly hidden off the main paths of the bustling Medina, down a quiet lane. Initial impressions on getting there may be confusing, but once you get your bearings, you will realise you are steps away from the main square of Jemna El...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Riad Princesse du Desert Nothing is too good for her. Equidistant from the " Jemaa El Fna " and " Door Dar El Bacha " , the location of Riad Princesse du Desert is exceptional especially since it offers beautiful calm and tranquility. Nestled in the Medina, the small alley that leads to the riad is a wonder with warm colors that contrast with the blue sky and vegetation that is rare in the Medina which can give the feeling of a Provence in Marrakech. Additionally beautiful decoration, attention to detail , arches , columns and moucharabiehs , lace white stucco ceilings, zellij ( tiled ) walls and featuring an alchemy of colors and smells with refined bath products (jasmine and amber ) make this a wonderful place to be . Additionally, not forgetting comfort alongside the beauty, each of the 6 rooms feature air conditioning, soft bedding and luxury linens. Breakfast is included in the price and we offer complimentary Moroccan mint tea and coffee with homemade cookies at all times. ... more   less
