Highly recommend this Riad as a peaceful haven amongst the bustle of Marrakech. Abdou the manager is the perfect host and goes out of his way to organise anything you ask for. The rooms are clean, tidy and make this a home away from home. We love the Dar Amanza so much we returned 6 weeks after our first visit...

Perfect location, Abdou is the perfect host, relaxing experience staying in this Riad during a hectic holiday in Marrakech. It offers perfect tranquility, comfortable rooms, great food, value for money and relaxing roof terrace. Worth a day trip out to Atlas Mountains and Essaouira to appreciate another aspect of Morocco - and try to visit a Berber market in Ourika.

Of course a riad is a boarding house. Not an hotel. I shouldn't have been disappointed. Our room was huge, 14m long and a little wider than the large comfortable bed. (Another English couple, staying at the same time, said their room was like a cupboard, the third couple thought theirs big enough so it's clearly a lucky dip). It...

Once inside its hard to believe that the Dar Amanza is in such a bustling city! Abdou was helpful as was Miriam. Daily breakfast was adequate and the orange juice yum. The Moroccan flat breads and pancakes made a nice change, the bread took some getting used to. The Riad was clean and comfortable and our room spacious too with...

What a fabulous little place, particularly made so by Abdou the butler. He was a fantastic host, and did his utmost to ensure that everything was perfect and was so friendly and helpful. Really couldn't recommend him or the riad more highly. Well worth a stay if you intend to visit Marrakech. Be prepared for traipsing a little through 'real'...

Superb! Cannot say much more than everyone else has already mentioned ... Abdou was a wonderful host... enjoyed the massage, one of the best I have ever experienced .. Had a lovely meal one evening at the riad... we enjoyed being in the heart of the medina, but coming back to this calm oasis ... something that those staying in...

You will be assured of a warm welcome and a comfortable stay in this beautiful Riyad. The first thing you notice when entering the establishment from the bustling street outside, is the quiet and calm, the only noise being from Ratatouille and his partner, the two resident sparrows. Nothing is too much trouble for Abdou, he will do his utmost...

We had a very enjoyable stay at Dar Amanza which is in the heart of the Medina. So you really feel close to the street life in Marrakech. Dar Amanza is located in a quiet alley. Others have written about the warmth of the welcome from Abdou, ably assisted by Miriam. It's absolutely true. From the moment we arrived til...

Abdou made us most welcome on our arrival, meeting us from our taxi at the top of the street near which the riad is located and helping to carry our luggage. The riad is in unpromising location down a narrow alley off a small, busy street which assails you with the typical sights and smells of the Medina. Do not...

We loved every minute of our stay here. Abdou and Miriam made us so welcome and we were even allowed to us the kitchen fridge to store and serve our duty free! We had a really special tagine and traditional accompaniments here with friends, which was cooked by Miriam and served by Abdou. The breakfasts are a lovely way to...
