Whenever I imagined my stay in Morocco, I had the exact picture of this Riad in my mind. So stylish with typical Moroccan decor and a courtyard with a pool. I really loved this place. The rooms are small but comfortable and spotlessly clean. The seating areas were just lovely and we enjoyed the breakfast and dinner! All of the...

Can't fault the riad, staff could have been a little more attentive but thats not a complaint! Top Tip - get the staff to meet you in the nearby Car park and avoid any contact with locals - they wanted 200 DHm after taking you 150 yards to the Riad - very aggressive but after that no problems.

My best friend and I just returned from a beautiful trip to Morocco. This riad was a quiet, little, beauty conveniently located close to the lovely chaos in the Medina. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and towards the end we felt like we were staying with family. Breakfast was very nice and dinner was...

Word of warning...it's not easy to find and you'll get people offering to direct you from where the taxi drops you off. Don't accept..they get a little aggressive when you don't tip them for walking you a few hundred meters.Just call the hotel, they'll send someone to come and get you...really nice Riad though...staff friendly and accommodating.

The Riad is really nice and quiet... a haven in a chaotic city. Location very good... not in the heart of it, but a very short walk from the heart of it. The staff were all happily helpful and accommodating... always with a smile. The room we had very comfortable, quiet and clean... not loads of room but ample for...

Really pleased by this fantastic experience in Riad Palacio de las Especias. From the beginning until the end, the staff were really kind and polite. Perfect room and amazing breakfast everyday, often taken on the roof top. Memories forever, will definitely come again in the future!

My friend and I stayed for 4 amazing nights in Marrakech at the Palacio Riad. It was a great experience that we would not hesitate to recommend this accommodation. We would definitely stay here again upon another visit. If you are looking for the Riad experience, you will not be disappointed. THE GOOD: - The service was impeccable. The morning/day...

The riad is of stunning beauty and very calm. The breakfast was amazing and everything in the room seemed to be custom made with a lot of care. Would definitely recommend having dinner if you feel like staying in. Cabs are easy to find and you can get around to the souks easily if you feel like walking as well....

One of the most authentic & prettiest Riads I've visited during my 22days in Morocco. The furniture pieces were very unique, and the rooftop terrace is the highlight of the Riad. We tried two rooms and both were spacious & rose filled. Love staying on the second floor with views of the Riad at night. It's stunning both during the...

After staying at a different Riad prior to this one we were expecting the same type of service as we were paying a bit more and the place was stunning. But besides the beautiful decor, stunning rooms and the rooftop, we received were basic customer service and wasn't the greatest. We didn't get much of a sense of helpfulness unless...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Palacio de las Especias recovers the splendour of a building erected in the 19th century. The building was originally owned by the Echerid family, who were spice merchants but, unfortunately, the years and neglect had taken their toll. Today, respecting the original building, but adapting it to provide the comfort that an establishment of this nature deserves, it opens its rooms from within the heart of the Medina, in order to provide its visitors with the enjoyment and relaxation they are looking for. The decor of its rooms, the coolness of its patios, the murmuring of its fountains and the peaceful evenings on the terrace mean that resting inside its rooms becomes the happy ending to a perfect day. ... more   less
