La Sultana is a truly hidden gem in Marrakech. Just next door to the Saadain tombs on the edge of the Kasbah but only 10 minutes walk from the main square. It is almost invisible from the outside . An alley entrance opens into an entrance square built in elaborate but traditional style . Once inside a whole new world of tradition and luxury unfolds like an exotic garden , a delicious surprise at every turn . Built around 5 rhiads we stayed with a group of friends for 3 nights in Saadia, we had 5 rooms and so the whole Rhiad was ours. My partner and I in the Ibis suite ( all suites named after birds in this Rhiad) Lovely big room with seating area and luscious bath and shower with delicious Clarins products. La Sultana offers so many different and intimate experiences. A delightful roof terrace full of exotic pots , lots of daybeds and ample places to relax, sit or dine and a small plunge pool. You can access this terrace from various staircases, we had one flight of stairs from Saadia and so popped up and down. The main Rhiad, hosts a pool , about 10m long and huge exotic plants . I swam undisturbed by other guests each day and could lounge on a daybed after my swim . In the evening we could dine on the roof or by the pool in the restaurant. ( we chose the restaurant) The food is excellent, a lobster ravioli was particularly memorable. The food was far better and much less expensive than food we had in a world famous hotel and restaurant where we dined on the second night for a special birthday. The restaurant atmosphere in La Sultana is intimate and exotic with traditional music being played unobtrusively from the other side of the pool . After dinner we found various places to sit … La Sultana has so many reception spaces across the 5 Rhiads and 3 floors that we never felt that we were intruding on others privacy . That was such a bonus … with only a limited number of rooms the accommodation was ample and we could go to so many differently styled areas. The breakfast was delicious, lots of fruits, pastries and yoghurts as well as savoury dishes. Three of our party had spa treatments and spoke very highly of the experience. Apart from the exquisite surroundings, fabulous accommodation and food the service in La Sultana was first class …nothing was too much trouble and staff were very friendly and did all that they could to make our stay as comfortable as possible . La Sultana is THE luxury hotel/rhiad experience in Marrakech …. Do not be foolish and book elsewhere.

For our wedding anniversary, we could not have chosen a more romantic, intimate and beautiful hotel in Marrakech.
This hidden gem exceeded all our expectations - it is truly a class of its own. Entering the hotel from the bustling streets of Marrakech transports you into an oasis of tranquility and beauty. Comprised of five riads, each part and each room of the hotel is different but equally stunning and beautifully decorated with African artwork. Every detail of these beautiful buildings has been meticulously and with great passion restored. Staying at this property felt like a fairytale.
While we have enjoyed many well-known restaurants in Marrakech (including La M***), none came even close to the intimate setting, delicious food and caring staff of La Sultana’s restaurant.
Throughout our stay, we were also very impressed by the warmth and hospitality of all of the staff members, who made this an unforgettable experience.
Thank you very much! We will be back!

La Sultana was the highlight of our trip. We went to Morocco to celebrate our engagement. Morocco was a very difficult trip to plan given we were American tourists, traveling during the height of summer, and we were using no guide for transportation or exploring each of the cities. La Sultana had amazing reviews, a well designed website, and a staff that was very fluent in English. When I pulled the car up in a crazy alleyway with motorbikes passing on both sides, I had no idea where to park. I called La Sultana and they had the bell man come right to my car and drive the car for me to their parking location. The staff was extremely attentive the entire time, remember our first names for the duration of our stay and constantly remembering our dietary constraints (my wife is gluten free). They also generously upgraded us to an absolutely amazing room given we were traveling in August, when there are far less tourists around because of the heat. My wife and I had one meal at the Royal Mansour just to experience the location and I have to state that I would still prefer to stay at La Sultana. La Sultana gives you a very deep and rich Moroccan culture experience while also providing a very safe environment. The rooftop was amazing each evening as we had a drink, watched the sunset, and listened to prayer across the city. The riad is also a short 10 minute walk from the medina center and at night there are plenty of people (women and children) walking around that would make any American feel safe. Outside of our one meal at Royal Mansour, we had all our other meals at La Sultana and the food and service was top notch. I can't stress enough how the staff paid attention to details during our entire stay. I would recommend any American tourist coming to Marrakech to stay here, although I am hesitant to leave such a good review only because I do not want to reveal this so publicly! However, the staff and management deserve the best, they go the extra mile and I would put this riad on the level with Four Seasons and Royal Mansour.

Wonderful hotel, a real escape from the chaos outside in the city! The staff were very friendly and attentive, in fact probably the best of any 5 star hotel I’ve stayed at. It felt like they genuinely cared and wanted you to have an enjoyable stay, not just speaking to you because it was their job. The building is absolutely stunning and felt like a very special and luxurious place to stay. We also enjoyed the spa and restaurants whilst we were there. Location is on the outskirts of the old town basically next to the Saadian Tombs which is one of the major sites to visit and not far from the palace. Further to the main shopping/souk area, about 20 minutes walk, which in Marrakech feels quite long given the crazy traffic. The hotel easily just calls you local taxis in moments though so no issue if travelling further afield and they even help you barter on the fare if needed! Couldn’t recommend the hotel more, it is excellent.

My stay at La Sultana Marrakech was exceptionally luxurious and authentic. Located in the heart of a historic Moroccan city, the hotel offered unparalleled service and attention to detail. The design and atmosphere of the rooms were intricately tailored to reflect the local culture. However, the pricing policy could have been more flexible, and the small window in my room that only opened to the corridor could be uncomfortable for those with claustrophobia.
The dining experience at the hotel was of an exceptional standard, with dishes that were not only delicious but also visually appealing. The hotel’s spa center and rooftop terrace with views of the Medina provided a complete relaxation experience. The professionalism and hospitality of the staff enriched our stay, making it memorable.
La Sultana Marrakech is ideal for those looking for a luxurious and culturally rich experience. It is a perfect choice for both romantic getaways and family vacations. Hopefully, the hotel will review some of its policies, especially those related to room types and pricing.

A beautiful Riad, stunningly and traditionally decorated. As it’s hard to capture in words the marvelous architecture, fittings, furnishings, decorations, colours and designs of every courtyard and room we weren’t the only guests obsessively photographing and videoing. We were made to feel like family by all staff who were attentive but not intrusive. Any questions or requests were responded to with a smile and the advice on sites to visit and external restaurants were spot on. We ate in for breakfast and ..wow..healthy options and enough to keep you going for the day. The pool is modest in size but was serene, never crowded and perfect for a cooling relax after a days exploring. Our room was its own little oasis. Drinks at the rooftop bar in the relative cool of the evening is a perfect finish to the day. The location is excellent, a 10 to 15 min walk from the square and sooks. Obviously more expensive than other options but for a special experience highly and unreservedly recommended.

Our stay at the beautiful La Sultana was great. From the beginning of our stay to our departure, we were looked after by a fantastic, professional, and extremely friendly team who took care of every wish. The hotel itself is a feast for the eyes with its opulent Moroccan-style furnishings, the art objects, and the many little corners where you can retreat. The room was large and equipped with all amenities. The only point we can criticize is the pillows, which were unfortunately too big and too firm. We really liked the view from the room of the inner courtyard where the pool is located, and the small balcony offered enough space for two people to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. Breakfast was a first-class experience. Lovingly prepared delicacies from international and Moroccan chefs provided a perfect start to the day. Added to this was the attentive and very friendly service of the breakfast chef and his team. Another highlight was the rooftop terrace, where we enjoyed an aperitif at sunset while reflecting on the day and enjoying the view of the majestic Atlas Mountains. In summary, our stay at La Sultana can only be described with the word “Phantastic.”

Was in Morocco for business and had a day with no meetings so i decided to head to Marrakech and stay overnight. i came across La Sultana as i was searching for a hotel and chose it based on the photos, price and location within walking distance to Djemaa El Fna. I made the absolutely right choice of hotel. From the minute i walked in the service was exceptional. All the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, helpful. The riad has been lovingly restored and with lots of seating areas all over the place which are just lovely to while away some time. In the space of a few hours i managed to relax by the pool, wander into the medina, have a massage and dinner on the rooftop. The spa is sumptuous and the treatment was exactly what i needed. As for dinner, well the rooftop garden is beautiful and very much needed after the grime of outside. The waiting staff were lovely and my food was excellent. I felt very sorry for the staff as the most awful women i have ever seen turned up and was incredibly rude. She'd come from the Four Seasons and if i had one recommendation it would be that she is blacklisted from visiting La Sultana ever again. Loud, obnoxious, disrepectful and totally unaware of anyone around her.
I wish i could have stayed for longer but i hope to return one day en famille for a more relaxing stay

This was the most perfect experience. Being in a very central location in the Kasbah by the Saadian Tombs, it was an easy walk to the Souks and central square. All the staff were very friendly and courteous and nothing was too much trouble. The food and service were second to none. We visited Le Marocain restaurant in La Mamounia hotel which we found impersonal and not a patch on La Sultana. I have no hesitation in recommending La Sultana for for it's facilities, staff, location, cuisine, and just general vibe!

La Sultana is a gorgeous, luxurious, and peaceful oasis in the heart of the bustling Marrakech center. You wouldn't know it, as it very quiet. The property is absolutely stunning. You can spend the entire day walking around the hotel and its charming and romantic coves admiring the design and artwork. The rooms are stunningly beautiful (albeit it a bit on the smaller side) and include every luxurious amenity you would expect, like delicious toiletries and Dyson hair dryers. The beds are sumptuous with beautiful linens. The rooftop restaurant is gorgeous. The service is very personalized and intimate. Since it is a smaller boutique hotel, you are treated with extra care and attention. The staff is very warm, professional, and attentive. The hotel can also assist expedite your check-in at the airport. Upon checkout, we were given delicious Madeline cookies to enjoy on the road and beautiful leather tags with the hotel's branding. Special thanks to the amazing Saida, who warmly welcomed us, made our stay absolutely pleasurable, and ensured we got to the airport gate without issue! Truly a 5-star luxurious experience and highly recommended. I have shared a reel of our gorgeous room on my Instagram page where I review beautiful 5-star hotels of the world @luxehotelaficionado.

Same here, junior suite, perfect! We had a little balcony in front and a secluded courtyard with a whirlpool. I suppose the „rooms“ are on the first floor without these amenities.
