We traveled over two weeks, in Portugal and Morocco - Lisbon, Casablanca, Fes, Marrakech - and nothing compares with this hotel. We were here four nights. We happened to mention that we were celebrating our 40th anniversary. Next thing we know, we are moved to a suite; then flowers; then we find that they have reserved the bar/library as a dining room for two. We dine on lobster raviolis, and a grilled turbot, the like of which we have rarely seen. The chef is God’s gift to the gastric juices. And the rest of the staff? To run a great hotel is a simple thing: anticipate your guests needs, and fill them before you are asked. They get it here. Come to Marrakech and don’t book here? You’re making a big mistake.

Fabulous place , perfect decoration, adorable service . The best place to stay in Marrakech. When you arrive there, you are struck by the sublimity of the place, a copy of the Myrtle Palace of the Alhambra in Granada. Everything is elegant and above all fair. The same goes for the service, fortunately we are far from the too often obsequious service of luxury hotels. Many congratulations again to the whole team.

Far exceeded our expectations! The hotel, a 12th century Moorish palace, was simply amazing and the staff were incredible - super attentive, friendly and always welcoming with a smile. We were very appreciative of the chance to stay in a tower room which was like no other hotel room we had ever seen before and even included a private rooftop day bed which was a great place to chill after a hot summer day. We loved our stay and would recommend this unique place to anyone looking for an incredible hotel experience.

Very friendly hotel. Lovely staff including Soufaine, Hanane and Fayssal. Beautiful privacy and rooms and pool. The food is stunning. The tours are worthwhile. Try and go to Inara Camp and the Ouzoud waterfalls. I would happily go back for a few days again. We met the owner on the first day too who was welcoming and intelligent. Brilliant hotel.

The staff were perfect, from arranging transfer from the airport until we left 3 days later completely relaxed and rested, nothing was too much trouble for them. They went out of their way to book us into the hamam on our last day and accommodated a later checkout for us. We stayed in a suite entered off the very pretty central courtyard with it’s tranquil pool and Alhambra style decoration. The rooms are minimally decorated with plain, textured plaster walls and simple traditional furniture. Soft drinks from the discreet minibar are complementary as is coffee from the Nespresso machine and the wifi which worked fairly well. The air-con (again discreetly hidden in the walk-in wardrobe) was effective. There was a TV and radio/speaker too (although we didn’t use these) along with a generous supply of books in the cupboard. Our private garden was wonderful, although the pool could have been a bit warmer for the time of year. The main pool was definitely a more welcoming temperature. The grounds are thoughtfully landscaped, well maintained and peaceful, the quietness punctuated only by the chatter of birdsong. A couple of resident cats also make the odd appearance. The restaurant serves good unpretentious fare with a choice of local or French style dishes for each course and much of it from the hotel’s own garden, but the menu is the same everyday, so on a longer trip we would want to try the dining experiences elsewhere in the city too. The Moroccan wines we were recommended were a welcome discovery and the bar staff make a mean cocktail. On this trip (our first) we just wanted somewhere quiet to relax and re-charge (which we certainly achieved) and we are already planning our return, hopefully for a couple more nights next time and maybe a few nights somewhere in the city too, to experience the more familiar busy side of Marrakech.

Marrakech, Morocco at its finest. What a wonderful, relaxing, and all-around experience at Ksar Char-Bagh. The staff from the owner though the entire hotel staff were just so welcoming and attended to all of our needs. Service was exemplary at the front gate, front desk, housekeeping, spa, pool, and restaurant. Wish we could have stayed longer. The hotel arranged for transportation each day to and from all of the places we visited within the city. Food at the restaurant was wonderful. Great experience. Will definitely be back.

We spent two blissful nights at the Ksar Chah Bagh and were made to feel at home straight away from the wonderful staff. We were absolutely thrilled to have been upgraded and our suite was absolutely huge with a fantastic terrace to relax on in addition to a huge bathroom. We absolutely loved it. The hotel, architecture and grounds itself are absolutely stunning and we loved relaxing by the pool and eating dinner in the atmospheric smoking room. Only reason for not marking 5 stars is the food was good, but not great for the price paid and we also felt that there could have been more amenities for the price paid. That being said, it was incredibly relaxing and pure heaven - two nights was the perfect time for us.

The staff made the short stay unforgettable. Everyone went above and beyond to ensure we’re enjoying our holiday! The rooms were spacious, with an amazing pool area and breakfast/restaurant space. One piece of advice for the owners is to emphasise more the Moroccan heritage in the food options, such as on the special Moroccan night

My husband and I stayed in this stylish boutique hotel for week at the end of January/beginning of February. The location is about 20 minutes drive outside of Marrakech in the Palameria district. The location has both positive and negative implications - on the positive side it’s quiet and away from the noise and bustle of Marrakech. It’s a haven of calm and serenity, surrounded by miles of nothingness with the Atlas Mountains as your backdrop. On the negative side, there is nothing to do in the vicinity - no shops, sights or restaurants anywhere within walking distance. I doubt you will want to anyway as the hotel provides for your every need! From the moment you get picked up at the airport by the complimentary airport transfers you will feel completely coveted in the warm embrace of Ksar Char-Bagh. At the hotel staff greet you warmly - we felt genuinely welcome and check in was calm, personal and efficient. Our suite (we opted for a large suite with a private pool) was elegant and spacious with a very comfortable extra large bed, dressing room, large living area and a wonderful bathroom with a sunken bath and separate shower area, double basins and separate WC and bidet. Finishes were of a high standard and everything worked perfectly. Our private garden had two armchairs and table, two sunloungers and a small pool. And a beautiful orange tree in the middle! The grounds surrounding the hotel are well kept and while there are some extension work ongoing while we were there, it was non-intrusive and far away from the main hotel area. The pool area is perfectly laid out with large sun beds, shady palm trees, tables and chairs and gazebos for shade. The rest of the interior of the hotel is beautifully furnished, the small bar is like a gentleman’s club, the restaurant is filled with light and furnishings are both luxurious and minimal at the same time - leather, steel, marble and glass. The restaurant food is prepared expertly and with care, always delicious with a mix of modern European and Moroccan. Breakfasts are table service with traditional and European pastries, fresh fruit and yogurt, coffee or tea and freshly squeezed orange juice. We also had a delicious omelette most mornings. We indulged ourselves in the spa with the Moroccan Hammam experience and massage and facial. The Spa staff were very professional and discreet, delivering wonderful calming treatments. The spa facility itself is stunning environment with vaulted roof and steamy hammam. And finally the team - this is an exclusive hotel and sometimes staff can be either too stand-offish or overly subserviant. The people who we met and work here have got it just right. They are friendly and genuinely interested in making sure you have a fabulous experience, miraculously appearing when you need them and giving you privacy and space when you want it. We absolutely loved our stay and I can’t recommend it enough. Leave your stress and worries at the front gate and indulge yourself in an experience of absolute luxury!

Incredible service and amazing little hotel. The room (a suite with a garden with private swimming pool), is spacious and very clean. The Spa is also at the level required for a hotel like this. The restaurant ( a la carte) has a 5 star level, with a personalized service offered by all the staff.
