The website says the tower room is the tallest spot in the median of Marrakesh, and it's true. It connects to a private roof deck and it was magical to sit out there and hear the call to prayer coming from every direction. The roof deck has a table, chairs, loungers, an umbrella-it was a wonderful spot to get away... More

Riad El Borj was recommended by a friend. And now I feel it's my duty to recommend it to everyone else. The courtyard is absolutely beautiful. The rooms are elegant and comfortable and spotless. The view from the rooftop patio is excellent (especially from the balcony of the top floor suite). The staff is great. And the location is perfect... More

My third stay at the Ryad El Borj and the time has come to write a review. Lovely, typical maroccan houses (a big and a small one close to each other) just a few steps from the main Medina square. Quiet location and very convenient for touring the old city. Rooms are pretty and confortable, with private bathrooms and very... More

The Riad El Borj surprised us, because from the outside all you can see is a door (you need a guide to find it) – but in the inside there is a nice courtyard, full of orange trees and with a fountain in the middle. The room smelled like roses and it was huge. When we got there we really... More

It says a lot about Marrakech accommodation that this joint ranks about 300th out of 600 on TA as it struck us a truly exceptional place to stay. We had the suite and it is huge. The main room is the size of the average UK house - about 2.5 stories high and full of interesting features in the Arabesque... More

When we arrived in Marrakech, we were so impressed with the Ryad that we booked it for the 2nd leg of our stay in Morocco. As arranged, we were picked up from the airport, despite a considerable delay in our flight and when we arrived at the Ryad we could not believe our luck. The Ryad consists of 2 parts,... More

20 of my family - from 7mths to 74 - booked the whole riad for two nights and couldn't have felt more at home. The staff are incredibly friendly, and were very patient with the hoardes of marauding kids. The rooms are stunning, especially the suite and tower room (and the one directly beneath it) - beautifully and authentically restored... More

A very pleasant Ryad. The silence and tranquility of the Ryad contrasts amazingly with the hustle and bustle outside. It is a very pleasant comfortable place offering excellent food. The staff were good but spoke very little English and if your French isn't great then information etc is difficult to get.

My husband and I booked this Riad for our honeymoon in Marrakech. They had arranged for a shuttle to pick us up from the airport and they were on time! I loved the location of the Riad in the Medina...it was so close to the Square and we could walk just about anywhere. The staff was unbelievably sweet and kind.... More

We had booked in to another riad for earlier dates in our stay in Marrakech and that accommodation (dar khmissa) wasn't acceptable so we found ourselves needing somewhere else to stay and the staff at riad el borj found us somewhere - they came to our rescue! We stayed at El Borj for one night and everybody was very friendly,... More
