This was a wonderful oasis of calm amongst the sensory overload of the souks. This worked well with the children as we were able to retreat once they were ready for a rest. Alan was really helpful in giving us our bearings. Breakfast was delicious on the rooftop and my husband who is a foodie rated the dinner as the...

Alan runs Riad El Zohar excellently. The local staff are absolutely wonderful, extremely polite and accommodating. The Riad is so convenient for the souks. Some tourists have concerns about safety; Alan and team make sure you are well orientated and guided in 'saviness' in the maze of souk lanes and will accompany you if required. Beds comfortable, hot showers, comfortable...

Have just spent a week in El Zohar and have had the full Marrakech experience in the heart of the Medina. It's on the doorstep to the souks where we browsed and shopped daily; had an organised trip to the Atlas mountains, a real Berber market and a Berber house where we had sweet mint tea; an afternoon in Jardin...

Allan, the owner is so well informed, the Riad is deliciously authentic and the loveliest of staff made our first experience of Marrakech just magical. You think you know something of the culture and cuisine but the reality is just outstanding. Thank you Allan and your staff. We will return.

We ahd a wonderful week sharing this lovely Riad with eight friends. Allan the owner was just wonderful as were all of his staff. Great food, excellent bedrooms and bathrooms. lovely plunge pool to drop into after a hot day exporing the nearby souks. Allan gave us all such good advice on where to go, how to negotiate in the...

It really is not possible to recomend this hotel highly enough. A glorious venue, a marvellous host, wonderful staff, fantastic food, all of which, was served with miles and miles of smiles. This small oasis is ideally located in the centre of the exciting Marrakech medina in the midst of the hustle, bustle and cacophony of the souk but peace...

We loved our stay in this quiet, well-located riad -- it was like staying in the home of a close friend, albeit one where the well-appointed bedroom is strewn with rose petals, the breakfast is delicious and freshly baked, and there is a friendly and helpful staff to assist with any need. Alan, our host, was incredibly helpful and generous...

The Riad El Ziohar, felt like coming home, from the moment of our arrival Allan met us and Mint tea appeared, while we sat by the plunge pool and he gave us maps and showed us how to navigate our way around the city. The location could not be better, just a few minutes walk from the entrance to the...

Stay was Friday March 17 through Monday March 20th with my wife and I and we miss it already. The owner is a charming, interesting and very smart Brit named Allan (although I would never tell him this personally I know he will like reading what I really think of him!). From the moment we arrived you cannot help not...

We had a fantastic time at Riad El Zohar and Marrakech. Ideally positioned close to the main square. The accommodation was faultless and the staff team made us feel completely at home. Alan, our host, made sure we had all the information needed to explore the city to the full and the evening meals in the Riad were delicious. Would...
