As you wonder down a typical Marrakech alleyway you are in for a wonderful surprise, what greets you is not only a wonderful, calm oasis of a Riad but the smiling faces of Alan, Malika and the wonderful staff at the Riad. The Riad itself is palatial with gorgeous furnishings, paintings and orange tree in the middle, there is a small...

My friends and I stayed here for a long weekend in Jan. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel at home. Alan and his wife were very welcoming, recommending local attractions and routes. Their colleagues at the riad were also very friendly and the food was delicious! Great value for money and fab local!

I have been to the beautiful Riad El Zohar 4 times now. Each time it has been absolutely everything I could hope for a stay in Marrakech. The Riad is stunning; tranquil, stylish and right in the heart of the old town. The staff are wonderful. Very friendly and cannot do enough for you. For this trip we booked the...

This was our third stay at the riad and it was as good as ever. Welcoming and friendly staff for whom nothing is too much trouble. Good advice about visits you can make and wonderful breakfasts on the terrace (yes, even in January!). The evening meals if you eat in are of a high quality and very reasonably priced. The...

First impressions having headed down Marrakech's mind assaulting alleys are slight apprehension. Upon reaching Riad El Zohar one is welcomed by the exemplary host Allan into a cool and luxurious oasis of calm. In short thoroughly enjoyed our visit which was enhanced by Allan's expert local knowledge, friendly staff, wonderful food and luxurious accommodation. We will be back. A and...

Marrakech can be a little overwhelming. Riad El Zohar run by Alan, his wife and team is a place of calm in a center of madness. The room and food was lovely and we were given maps and advice on how to avoid 'scallywag alley'. Alan has a lot of local knowledge which he imparts with humour. He recommended and...

A beautiful oasis of tranquility in the heart of the old city, this lovely riad is well appointed and a great spot from which to explore the city. Traveling as a family of 4 with 2 teenage boys we were made to feel so welcome by the owner Alan, his wife and the staff. Alan is a most engaging host,...

Marrakech is not for the faint-hearted but the Riad El Zohar is a peaceful haven in the heart of the old city. Even getting there is an exotic experience - your taxi from the airport or railway station is met by a man with a hand cart who you follow through the twisty narrow streets. The Riad itself is in...

Perfect in every way. From our initial enquiry to Alan personally bringing back saffron to the UK for us that we were unable to buy. Nothing was ever too much trouble. A wonderful experience. Lovely staff, beautiful room, great breakfasts. Excellent location. Would 100% recommend. Thank you - we will be back!

We were made to feel most welcome by Alan who was most helpful and generous with his advice. All the staff are lovely and offer kind service. It is a most attractive Riad and good location for the Souks.
