Yeah, there will be people to help you but most of them will expect "tips". Another option is, if you can find a good tour guide to take you around, it may be a better/possible option. This person will certainly assist you to move around. If you need a good tour guide, let me know. I happened to use one and become a good friend of this local. He is honest and helpful. By the way, for the US standard (I don't know what country are you from), hiring a tour guide is pretty affordable. Well, you need to find the right one so you won't get rip off. :)
