I've recently returned from Marrakesh and stayed at Riad Merstane, what an amazing place!! Rachid the house manager was so helpful and hospitable ,with a fantastic sense of humour. The first night we had a meal in the courtyard of the riad ,it was like being in your own private romantic restaurant. The food was delicious and plentiful, all for a ridiculously...

This Riad was absolutely gorgeous and a welcome, tranquil retreat from all the huslte bustle going on outside! Our rooms were beautiful, and the rest of the riad was just gorgeous. And so peaceful and relaxing. The staff couldn't have been friendlier or done any more for us. They really made our trip more memorable. The food was amazing (and...

What a lovely place! It was our second time in Marrakech and initially we were a bit aprehensive about staying in, what it seemed, a place a bit far from the main square. What a pleasant surprise it was to be in such a "local" area. The Riad is lovely and we found easier to get to the square than...

Rashid and the his staff made us incredibly welcome and really went out of thier way to make sure that we were looked after. We stayed in the Jasime room which was simply appointed but v clean with a comfy bed. High lights of Riad Merstane include mint tea and cakes served on the roof terrace on arrival, roaring fires...

Whinging to my girlfriend about the usual bleakness of celebrating / not celebrating my birthday in January and having previously expressed a desire to visit Marrakesh, I was still surprised when she lead me away to this marvellous little riad on a last minute, long weekend retreat. I wasn't really asking for too much more than NOT spending yet another...

This is a good, quiet, clean, and rather beautiful riad in a city that really needs you to get away from the hustle and bustle at some point. Rachid, the manager, is a huge asset - he will literally walk you to nearby sites if required. The food is also excellent. The roof terrace is a great place to relax,...

We booked the entire Riad with a group of friends. To echo the comments of a previous guest the Riad was very good value although the rooms were rather small. However we would not recommend the area the Riad was situated in to first time visitors to Marrakesh or anyone wanting their first Riad experience. We were not first time...

As the owners of Riad Merstane we are glad that Appleton8 found us good value but sorry that thay found our staff less than satisfactory. on this occasion. Our staff have received a high number of overwhelmingly positive responses on Trip Advisor so we are not sure went wrong this time. We visit the riad very regularly - just before...

Stayed for three nights in this riad, in Dec-Nov 2008. This was my second time in Marrakech and my second riad experience. Firstly, I found this riad to be outstanding value, a real bargain. The riad is about a 20min walk from the Djemaa el Fna, and although a map was supplied; the first time is a bit of an...

We are glad 'Kingkong' of Gloucester found us such great value for money overall. However, we feel that the comments about the cost of excursions and airport transfers are unfair as our airport transfer charges are at the lower end of the scale for private transfers and our house manager will recommend cheaper group excursions where asked.. Certainly most of...

I Took 7 members of my staff to this Riad for our Christmas Party. We had a fantastic time and the staff were brilliant. The breakfast was good, but if you stay do make the effort to have at least one evening meal as the chef is superb. The Manager is extremely helpful and also is happy to get anything...
