We recently stayed three nights here. As with all the reviews the hosts, Michael & Michel provide outstanding service, giving advice on what to see, where to eat, etc. The location is very good and within walking distance to the market, shopping. We never used a taxi. Our only criticism is that in our room the bathroom is not enclosed...

Recently come back from Riad Al Massarah and we couldn't fault it, event the waeter was unexpectedly glorious. We arrived late and Michel from the Riad gave us a quick run down of the activities, places to eat and what to do in Marrakesh. He recommended somewhere for evening meal where we went and it was excellent and very reasonable...

We had 2 nights at Riad Al Massarah. Our flight arrived 2 hours late, and as soon as we arrived at about 11pm on the Friday night (stuffed) from a long week / delayed flight, Michel sat us down "would you like a cold beer or a glass of wine...". He then sat us down (with our cold beverages) with...

We stayed for four nights. Our room was absolutely lovely but to be honest the best bit was the food, which was fantastic. Would definitely recommend eating in if you get the chance.

This is a fantastic place to stay for a visit to Marrakech. Michael and his staff made us feel very welcome and we appreciated the advice on where to visit, eat and the tips on avoiding problems when out and about. The location of the Riad, down a fairly dingey alleyway, can be a little off-putting at first but after...

We had a fabulous stay in Marrakech. We stayed at the Al Massarah with friends and could not fault it. Michael, one of the owners, was in the little square where our taxi from the airport dropped us off to escort us to the riad (the luggage was taken in a hand cart), where we were greeted with tea and...

Beautiful riad - both communal area on the ground floor and the rooms. Good information before we arrived and we were met by raid staff when taxi dropped us off as riad located within the medina. Rooms were warm and staff lit log fire in room so we were cosy after a day caught in rain. Lovely breakfast and staff...

A haven of peace and comfort. Lavishly furnished throughout. Rooftop area for breakfast and sunbathing Special touches included turning down the sheets at bedtime and removing the old airline luggage tag from our suitcases. Super wet room shower area. Only downside is beyond the owners & that is the nearby streets but as stated above a haven awaits once the...

I thought paying a touch more for lodging would make our trip extra special, but in the end all I could focus on was how expensive our room was and how I completely regretted staying there. All the staff was friendly but I found the owners off-putting. Every time I spoke with them they seemed to be in a bad...

MichaelMK, Owner/manager at Riad Al Massarah, responded to this review

I am sorry that your experience of us and the Riad is so totally out of line with that of our guests who have stayed with us in the last 3 years. Furthermore, given the strength and virulence of your opinion, we find it surprising that you should have waited 2 full months between your ‘stay’ with us and becoming...
